Many who call themselves “Democrats” (read “tolerant”), particularly in the media, and the Far Leftists now running this country into the ground, spend much of their time pointing their crooked little fingers at anyone who opposes them and shouting “racists!” But as history reveals, it was the Democrats who perpetuated inequality and oppression in the forms of human slavery, Jim Crow laws and forced segregation, for example, while fighting tooth and nail against the Civil Rights Movement of the 1960s. But there’s one other gem in the history books they’d also like to keep repressed: A group of Democrats founded the Ku Klux Klan. Yes, that Ku Klux Klan. And the Child-Man-in-Chief’s current temper tantrum—which includes the punitive closing of open-air memorials across America (many of which are not manned on a daily basis and/or are privately-funded!)—has thrown a proverbial monkey wrench into the KKK’s weekend fun.
“Tourists will find every one of America’s national parks and monuments, from Yosemite to the Smithsonian to the Statue of Liberty, immediately closed,” Obama said in a statement Tuesday. “And of course the communities and small business that rely on these national treasures for their livelihoods will be out of customers and out of luck.”
Yeah, never let a good crisis ‘n all…not to mention those pesky small businesses that must be squashed lest they contribute to the opposition, right O’Rodeo?…but I digress.
You see, the local KKK had planned a little shindig—paging Exalted Cyclops Robert Byrd!—at the Gettysburg National Military Park in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania on Saturday. But, much to their white-cloaked chagrin, Captain Red Line has demanded its closure, too, in his most recent tyrannical provocation against the American public of whom he serves (anyone remember his ludicrous, embarrassing Sequestration tirades?). So much for that photo op, right, LBJ?
“I’ll have those niggers voting Democratic for the next 200 years.” —Lyndon B. Johnson to two governors on Air Force One
“These Negroes, they’re getting pretty uppity these days and that’s a problem for us since they’ve got something now they never had before, the political pull to back up their uppityness. Now we’ve got to do something about this, we’ve got to give them a little something, just enough to quiet them down, not enough to make a difference.”—Lyndon B. Johnson
Two of my all-time personal “favorites” from the head of the “tolerant” Democrat Party, circa 1960’s. Surely, your kiddos have learned this in our public schools, yes?
So, unless the oh-so-courageous hiding-beneath-hoods KKKers—whose message I vehemently disagree with, but unwaveringly support on First Amendment grounds and comedy relief—choose to stride in the brave footsteps of the WWII vets of the past two days and tear down those ridiculous tyrant-erected barricades, there’ll be no donning of white hoodies on the battlefield of Gettsyburg this Saturday because their permit to practice their First Amendment rights has been canceled, Freedom of Speech be damned. My bet is they’ll sissy out like the chicken-hearted cowards they are, and let the Tyrant-in-Chief dictate their fate. Anyone seen the Constitution lately? Oh, that’s right, it’s in Obama’s shredder.
And just for kicks and giggles, here’s AlfonZo Rachel’s take on the racist history of the Democrat Party:
History … What has happened in the past. (The operative word is “past.”) Given your reasoning, every group of people (Eagles, Masons, Elks, Fraternities/Sororities, VFW clubs, Rotary clubs, etc. etc. etc.) political groups (R, D, I, you name it), religious group (Jews, Christians, Muslims), nations (U.S., Canada, India, Japan), etc. etc. etc. has done something in their past that they experience tremendous remorse, shame and guilt.
The important question is, “What have they done to rectify that shame and guilt they have about past decisions and/or actions.”
The Democrats of the Jim Crow era are different than the Democrats of 2014. Now here’s going to be the interesting question … Are the Republicans of the Lincoln era (abolishing slavery and every many is created equal) different than the Republicans of 2014?
(Caveat: Typing on my iPad, so hope this is coherent…)
Kevin, firstly, thanks for your comment. I know we often don’t see eye to eye, but I respect your opinion (even though you’re always wrong *wink*). 🙂
That said, to answer your questions: “what have they done…” From my perspective, what the Dems have done is grow the welfare state, push affirmative action, etc, which I see as the nothing more than a modern form of slavery. It sends the message that specific people are not smart enough, competent enough, skilled enough to make it on their own, thus they need assistance from the government, from those smarter and more competent. Folks like myself believe in American exceptionalism, and expect it from all to the best of their ability. Poverty and unemployment rates for blacks are UP under Obama (please refrain from blaming Bush—what has BO done for anyone lately?). Further, as an example, as recently as late last year, the Vice President uttered, “[the Republicans] are gonna put ya’ll back in chains,” likely knowing full well who put the chains on to begin with. The D party continues to run from its past, and continues to project their racist history on to Republicans//Conservatives. No doubt about it. So have they changed? I don’t think so. The racism is just more subtle.
I will never state that racism doesn’t exist throughout the political spectrum. This blog is about hypocrisy. The difference is the racist, sexist, homophobic rhetoric is predominantly lobbed from the Left at those who don’t tow its line, particularly women who reject liberal/feminist ideology (tw*ts and c**ts come to mind), and blacks and other minorities (“Uncle Toms” and “House N*ggers”) who self-identify as Conservative/Libertarian. God forbid they (we!) attempt to think any other way but Liberal. Kinda possessive, doncha think? A little honesty would be refreshing. But imagine the mass exodus if the Ds actually told the truth about their past. We’re a forgiving people. But perpetuating a lie is just plain immoral.
Hi! What is your e-mail? I can’t manage to send a writing sample on the link provided.
Here you are, City: jodi@victorygirlsblog.com 🙂
Just this morning at breakfast, Light Bulb said he was proud that Ronald Kessler (in his book “Inside The White House”) is keeping his memory alive.
Sorry, Franklin, but Nixon’s Ag Secretary Earl Butz’s quote about the three things that “coloreds want” tops anything LBJ ever said. Coincidentally, it was on October 4, 1976 that Butz resigned because of his racist joke.
I’ve seen it in myriad websites, reportedly originating from Kessler’s book: http://m.huffpost.com/us/entry/933995
Ty! The man the Obama Nation’s Czars love so much to emulate and quote.
Perhaps if they revealed some of his lesser known quotes…Wouldn’t that be fun? 😉
