yet another vacation for obama (open talk)

yet another vacation for obama (open talk)

being awesome is hard work and so is all that golf! he’s only been back in washington for 2 days but clearly the funeral of his brother, ted kennedy, and his dropping-like-a-rock approval numbers is taking a toll. he’s off for an extended 6-day weekend trip to camp david.

“President Barack Obama and his family are trying again for a little rest and relaxation.

The president is heading out to the presidential retreat at Camp David on Wednesday morning. The five-day stay in Maryland’s Catoctin Mountains gives the first family a head start on the Labor Day weekend.”

hey, y’all this president’n is hard!

These people are grifters on my dime.

What does “open talk” mean? Any topic is ok?

  • Toma says:

The Muslem is going to Camp David to prepare his address to our school children. I just read where he has sent out letters to school principles across the nation to tune in to ABC Sept. 8th for his “address”. The adults are FINALLY getting wise to the great one’s tactics so he going to “address” the kids.

    Parents beware.

    Toma

  • kate says:

hey toma. here is that letter by the way.

marsha open talk means you can talk about the post or anything else that you want (except me). :p

  • PenniePan says:

There has never been such a selfish lot as this group here. Why would you begrudge the President who is on duty 24/7 a few days off? Why would you not want him for the sake of the country to be at the very top of his game? You people are sickening.

  • micky says:

Well, considering the motivation behind this A-hole CIC the last thing I want is him at the top oif his game getting whatever he wants. From another perspective, theres so much that needs to be done right now is it really the apporpraite time ?

Whatever, I hope things fall in place so that every one of his intentions/policies fail.
If that means jerking off so much he misses something or working himself into wreck Idont care

  • Julia says:

I don’t begrudge a vacation to anyone however it seems like his presidency could be painted in 3 words: spending, speeches, and golfing. I’d like to see him work a little bit before taking a vacation.

Yet he said little about the National Day of Prayer. Are we sure he isn’t a muslim?

  • BillinTX says:

    Just an FYI:

Looks like Obama has raised the white flag on the public option and is going to re-position on healthcare reform.

What do the libs here think about that?

Looks like Obama is desperate to stop the bleeding of his approval numbers. And I will be pissed if any (R) helps him out of his whole.

  • BikerDan says:

Ya Bill. Obama has just thrown the entire moonbat Left under the bus!

    http://hotair.com/archives/2009/09/02/obama-planning-sister-souljah-moment-over-public-option/

  • Jane says:

“What do the libs here think about that?”

I am disappointed if this is truely the case. I was hoping the public option would be in the bill at the start. However changes take time and are done in stages so I am not going to bash Barack if that’s what you’re waiting for.

  • BG says:

Well Jane you don’t speak for me and if I wanted another Clinton in the f*cken White House I wouldn’t have worked my ass off for President Obama. I want a PO now and if I don’t get it, no more $ from me and I will not vote Democrat. F*cken WEASELS like the ones here should NOT win this.

  • micky says:

    Good luck.
How many times have these morons tried to get away with complete socialized medicine and failed. Everyone knows that the public option is the one ace in the whole that will usher in a complete reversal of health care as we know it, which is screwed up, but which is also fixable for those who dont mind dropping a reasonable premium.
Many more people have thier own private plans than the 47 million you guys keep crying about. They will lose that choice.
That 47 million is a bullsh*t number anyway since only about 10% of them (5 mill) actaully would be able to or want to access the public option.
So, all the people owning private plans would eventually be forced to take the public option because the more that take the public will mean more private sector establishments shutting down, hence, less availability in the private sector, consequently leaving only one choice.
people get greedy when something is percieved to be free, free to them even though they realize it is at someone elses expense. (they dont care)
We had the public option here in hawaii in the form of SCHIPS and it failed , it went broke whithin 7 months.

“10/17/08 | MARK NIESSE HONOLULU – Hawaii is dropping the only state universal child health care program in the country just seven months after it launched. Gov. Linda Lingle’s administration cited budget shortfalls and other available health care options for eliminating funding for the program. A state official said families were dropping private coverage so their children would be eligible for the subsidized plan. “People who were already able to afford health care began to stop paying for it so they could get it for free,”

And this was offered to kids only. Imagine the repurcussions if offered to everyone.

The more people that sign up with the fed that dont contribute (the majority already contributes) the higher cost will rise due simply to volume. Taxes will have to comensurate and be raised to parallel the cost. Thats means they’ll have toi change the brackets to thos earning less that 250,000…it will without a doubt go lower.
I will have to pay for the moonbats plan, my private plan, and pay taxes on my benefits simultaneously. Eventually most people will say screw it already and just go with the public optionj, they’ll have no choice.
Obama may make it appear as if hes abandoning the public option but dont everyone go getting all excited. hes already tried to disguise it by calling the next plan “co-ops” which eventually will work themselves into a public option and also beware that the bill is so vague that it leaves and or omits wording that allows for a backdoor trojan horse public plan. Remember, hardly anyone has yet to really read this thing

  • A_Reluctant_Pundit says:

I doubt its a trial balloon Micky. I think its a done deal. Too many statements by too many upper mucky-mucks in the Obama administration are making it clear that its out. He’s going to re-tool and come back next week with a speech to congress.

  • Paul says:

“Yet he said little about the National Day of Prayer. Are we sure he isn’t a muslim?”

What a bunch of IDIOTS. Haven’t you heard? Not only is he muslim he’s also a top secret undercover terrorist agent here to destroy our country from the inside out!!!!!!

  • Paul says:

IF the public obtion is dead and there is still some doubt though not much that it is, it was because of the fraudulent Sarah Palin death panel canard.

  • Paul says:

The public option IS the moderate, compromise position. Don’t let any of you rightwingers forget that. Single payer is the position of the left; massive bailouts of health insurance companies is that of the corporatist GOP. In the middle are the people, real Americans, who want to have affordable health care and a brake on the insurance companies, and cost containment for prescriptions and catastrophic care.

The public option is the minimum necessary to ensure that. But you know this already. You aren’t stupid people, you’re just haters. You guys hate Obama so much you want to throw the baby out with the bath water.

  • micky says:

    Pundit.
Obama wont pass anything if theres no hope of any kind of public option.
hes practicaly sworn to himself that its going to be his legacy. hes on record for years now saying that anything without a public option is unacceptable, or close to that.
Yea, hes got all week to write that speech giving him time to see how he can somehow work a plan into legaislation that includes anything but fixing the system we have.
The only reason he doesnt want to issue the regulations and guidelines it would take to fix the system in place is because he needs a public option of some sort so he can utilize it as a tool with about ten ulterior purposes. Fixing whats in place so the private sector can acyually compete enough to offer plans to low income households is not what he wants to do. Hes managed to regulate just about everything else so its only obvious that if he doesnt take the route I suggest hes going for some sort of public government run option

  • micky says:

    Sarah Palin, right Paul

  • Ken says:

So let me get this straight. The dems have the majority in the House and the Senate and the most liberal president we’ve ever had in our nations history and you STILL can’t get your bills passed!!

Priceless!!!! Then an imbecile like Paul comes on and blames SARAH PALIN?!?!?!?!

You people really need to get over yourselves. Grow up. It was a disaster because the people didn’t want it. Get it? Just because you are complete zombies for B.O. doesn’t mean the rest of the country is.

I imagine the dems will back door the public option like the two faced, hypocritical, low life weasels that they are.

“F*cken WEASELS like the ones here should NOT win this.”

Gosh , it sounds like someone needs some free mental health care!!!

  • Ken says:

Just where would Sarah Palin get such an idea that Obama doesn’t care about seniors and would let them die under Obamacare????

    http://gatewaypundit.blogspot.com/2009/09/media-silent-as-obama-slashes-14.html

“An Obama administration plan to cut Medicare payments to heart and cancer doctors by $1.4 billion next year is generating a backlash that’s undermining the president’s health-care overhaul.”

Oh, I guess that’s where she got it from, Obama himself.

  • Danielle says:

According to the meticulous records kept by CBS Radio White House correspondent Mark Knoller, Bush on Monday lodged his 879th day (March 2008) spent in whole or in part at Camp David or his sprawling estate in Crawford, Tex.
    http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/blog/2008/03/04/BL2008030401392.html

    This vacation is a non-issue.

  • kate says:

actually danielle it is an issue. bush frequently took heads of state to camp david, had many, many working meetings there. your number is also based on over 7 years in office.

obama has been in office how long? oh yeah, 8 months. and he’s had vacations to london, paris, martha’s vineyard and camp david. and i am not even counting the days off to golf and his dates with mo.

  • micky says:

    dont forget Hawaii

  • Ken says:

C’mon Kate, its hard work wrecking the entire economy, nuzzling up to dictators, and selling out the American people!! The guy nees a break!!!

I love watching the Obamabots try and defend his vacations. These were the same nutroots who were screaming bloody murder every time Bush took one.

  • danielle says:

I was only trying to suggest that perhaps there are less trivial points to criticize the administration on

  • micky says:

“I was only trying to suggest that perhaps there are less trivial points to criticize the administration on”

Not really, everything else is pretty gross also
