The Love Story Of CNN’s Erin Burnett And Volodymyr Zelenskyy

Surely someone in the editing room noticed the flirty eyes and sighing looks and could have cut the interview differently. Or, maybe they did notice and wanted to make Erin Burnett look like a love-struck fool. Burnett did an interview with the President of Ukraine and it aired on CNN Wednesday night. Ultra MAGA Party of Twitter noticed and made a video set to the theme from the Love Story of Romeo & Juliet as filmed by Franco Zefirelli in 1968. The Tweet is both hysterically funny and terribly sad.

Remember back to the start of the Russian invasion of Ukraine? We all needed a hero and Zelenskyy was the closest thing we have had in a while. He was dismissed as a comedian who accidently got elected President, as our Deanna told you. The leaders of the West noticed this and began to beat a path to Ukraine to have a little hero rub off on them, so to speak. Each wrote his own love story.

We expect the same of the slobbering press. They cannot help themselves. You can read the CNN interview here. There is not much to it, like this:

That effort has come under intense scrutiny from Western allies and on Saturday a US official told CNN the head of the US Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), Bill Burns, had visited Kyiv recently and met with Zelensky and Ukrainian intelligence officials.
Zelensky told CNN he was “surprised” to see his meeting with Burns reported in the media. “My communication with the CIA chief should always be behind the scenes,” he said. “We discuss important things – what Ukraine needs and how Ukraine is prepared to act.”
Burns, a veteran diplomat, has become a trusted interlocutor in Kyiv, and has made several trips to Ukraine during the war.
“We don’t have any secrets from CIA, because we have good relations, and our intelligence services talk with each other,” Zelensky said.
“The situation is pretty straightforward. We have good relations with the CIA chief and we are talking. I told him about all the important things related to the battlefield which we need.”

Ahhhh, Bill Burns has a love story going with Volodymyr too. Here is the Burnett interview from YouTube:

And, here from the NYPost is the illuminating part of the interview. Burnett asked Zelenskyy if he had any time alone and what music he like:

Ukraine’s leader opened up about his musical tastes — and an intense morning routine involving the headbanging sounds of classic rock — in a new interview with CNN’s Erin Burnett.
Burnett, who had traveled to Odesa to interview Zelensky more than 16 months into the war, asked Ukraine’s leader during the wide-ranging interview that aired Wednesday whether he has any time to unwind by reading or listening to music.
“I have such moments,” Zelensky replied in English while taking a stroll in a sun-dappled garden with Burnett.

“Sun-dappled garden”? I think the Post writer, Snejana Farberov, may be writing a love story of her own with Zelenskyy. Here is more from the NYPost:

“[It is] Important to be in silence, to be alone… Alone I can be with music or with a book, and early, early in the morning when there are no sounds.”

This guy is so busy globe-trotting and taking meetings, when does he have five minutes? More:

Asked what music he favors, Zelensky said: “I like AC/DC and Ukrainian music. Of course, I like Ukrainian music a lot because Ukrainian, that’s native language. That’s why you understand not only music, you understand words and etc.”
The 45-year-old former comedian-turned-president sheepishly admitted that while he did not “understand all the words” in AC/DC’s songs, he liked “the energy” in the Australian rock band’s hits.

n
Well, who doesn’t like AC/DC? Alright the tease is over. I told you about the Ultra MAGA Party tweet set to the theme from Franco Zefirelli’s Romeo & Juliet, here it is:

Hallmark doesn’t make movies this syrupy. And, Erin Burnett has devoted her Twitter timeline to Volodymyr Zelensky for days. Girlfriend has got it bad:

Like Romeo & Juliette, this is a love story that cannot be. Sad, right.
