we elect people to represent us in the halls of congress. no kings. no rulers. no dictators. no blathering idiotic meglomanical manchurian candidates.
should there be respect for the office of the president? of course! but should not the president show respect for the citizenry? obama went after sarah palin (a private citizen) in front of the whole country — shamelessly using the largest bully pulpit in the world — to lambast her opposing opinions. he didn’t call sarah out by name, but we all knew who he was talking about didn’t we? she can take care of herself and has already responded to him but think about the ramifications of the potus attacking citizen opposition like that. that isn’t democracy in action – its soft thugery from the president of the united states. he is also responsible for what his minions are saying today about representative joe wilson’s ‘Liar!’. he can tell them to cool it — he hasn’t.
there are so many examples of hypocrisy as the left excoriated and denegrated republican presidents and leadership but this is the one i will never forget:
president bush booed at obama’s inauguration
the left can dish it out but they can’t take it. and barack obama IS a liar so ‘speaking truth to power’ … isn’t that what you lefties like to say?

There is always a time and a place for everything. Wilson has apologized, as he should, but you wont hear the dems apologize for their rude and obnoxious behavior directed at Bush. No surprise there.

but these days seem very dangerous to me – and pivotal. personally i feel obama has not only inspired a citizen revolution of sorts (townhalls, tea parties) but his behavior is inspiring lawmakers to spontaneously erupt. our side needs courage to spontaneously erupt when something is wrong. i felt inspired by it.

He talked about how he was going to bring this country together, he was suppose to be the “black” president that ended race issues-duh he has made them much much worse & set race relations back 30 years. Putting black radicals like Van Jones, Eric Holder, letting Black Panthers walk after being convicted, calling a white police officer stupid for doing his job when a black was acting the fool that kind of stuff tends to create racial tensions. Yelling racist every single time that someone disagrees with his wants-pardon me that does not improve race relations, I for one am damn sick & tired of being called a racist by someone that is clearly a racist-pardon me I am not the one that sat in Rev Wright’s church for 20 yrs & allowed my children to be indoctrinated by him.
Obama has called American people every name in the book, he has insulted our intelligence by spoon feeding lies that he expects us to buy into, he has gutted our intelligence community-just like Bill Clinton (who by the way for you Libs-I voted for twice-I was young & stupid, also voted for Pres Bush twice). Today is 9/11 & I am praying that we do not experience another 9/11 like 8 yrs ago, if I was a terrorist today (oh wait I am in DHS & Dems eyes) okay if I was an Islamic terrorist I would know that obama does not deal with pressure & that he would just surrender & whine how could they do that I am trying to be friends with them. Wilsons remarks were only condemed by some on the right because anyone who knows politics knows that its the expedient thing to do just for the sake of decorum. Yet, I’d be hard pressed to find anyone on the left who condemed Pelosi when she flat out called the CIA liars. Remember that?
