After hedging for months, and despite having served a full term in the Obama Cabinet,Hillary Clinton is trying to distance herself from the president. On Wednesday, Hillary exercised her most significant break from the regime yet. She officially stated that she opposed Obama’s infamous trade agenda.
The issue at hand is that, although Hillary was once a high ranking official in this administration, she is attempting to remove and distance herself from what a lot of Americans view as a disastrous presidency. Clinton is trying to become her own woman she claims, but she isn’t advocating what many Americans truly want: less government intervention. With Bernie in the race, she cannot do that. She is advocating just as extreme policies as President Obama has been pushing for the last 7 years.
On Wednesday she came out swinging with her dismissal of Obama’s Trans-Pacific Partnership – you know, the trade bill that our elected representatives could only read in a locked room and weren’t allowed to take notes on or talk about after reading – that trade bill. The one from this “transparent” administration.
Clinton told PBS on Wednesday that she has many unanswered questions about the bill, saying, “What I know about it as of today, I am not in favor.” Later in a written statement she added that “the bar here is very high, and based on what I have seen, I don’t believe this agreement has met it.”
However, what we see here, Ladies and Gentlemen, is yet another flip-flop from a progressive. During Obama’s first term in office, Clinton promoted the deal aggressively.
It is also an exciting time because the far Left faction of the Democrat party is forcing Hillary to show who she truly is simply by throwing their support behind Bernie Sanders, a self-proclaimed socialist. That part of the party doesn’t believe that Hillary is truly as extreme as they are because she has spent so many years trying to convince Americans that she is moderate, but mark my words, the Clintons are every bit as progressive as the Obamas and Bernie.
