The media will stop at nothing to show their contempt for the Second Amendment, for firearms, and for the Americans who own them. It’s not the criminals nor the terrorists who are the Bad Guys — no, it’s the awful guns and the knuckle-dragging American morons who insist on owning them. In their book it’s much, much too easy to obtain such Weapons of Mass Destruction.
To demonstrate their point, a producer at CBS went into a gun shop in Alexandria, VA, to demonstrate that it only took 38 minutes and $1000 to purchase an evil AR-15, some rounds, and an additional magazine. The report also includes the obligatory UCLA law professor to solemnly compare purchase of a weapon to buying a coffee at Starbucks — which is patently ridiculous. I certainly don’t need to provide multiple forms of identification for my latté, even when I order it extra hot with a double shot.
But hold on — could CBS producer Paula Reid have broken federal law in her purchase/sting operation?
