Senate Majority Leader John Thune (SD) has tap danced long enough fighting President Trump and futzing about the Save America Act. The August Recess is upon the Legislative Branch, and when the lawmakers get back, Thune will say there are enough days to pass it. Time to do the business or get off of the pot. We would prefer that Thune passed the pot to someone with a working intestinal tract. Or, he could just get gone.

On Wednesday evening, the House of Representatives managed to pass the newer version of the voter ID bill, the SAVE America Act, with a slim bipartisan majority.
