We watched the SOTU last night with bated breath. Waiting for some mention of yesterday’s happenings with American sailors off the coast or Iran. Waiting for God-only knows-what from a SOTU that covered everything from how those who believed that our economy was failing were “peddling fiction”, to improving “work ethics” of Americans to education to climate change to quoting Dr. Martin Luther King multiple times.
Obama did admit to some level of regret over the past 7 years:
Too many Americans feel that way right now. It’s one of the few regrets of my presidency — that the rancor and suspicion between the parties has gotten worse instead of better. There’s no doubt a president with the gifts of Lincoln or Roosevelt might have better bridged the divide, and I guarantee I’ll keep trying to be better so long as I hold this office.
You can read the full transcript of the SOTU here. The rancor and suspicion between the parties has gotten worse instead of better. You think?!
While Obama believes in his delusional mind that he can repair the divide (he caused) and “promises” to do better “so long as he holds the office” (as if he will be there any longer than his term comes to a mandatory end), here comes Geraldo Rivera with another theory on what failed Obama in his presidency. Are you ready for this?
