Woman Steals from Handicapped, Partially Blind, Wheelchair-Bound Woman, Named Democrat of the Year

If you ever wondered why Democrats are commonly referred to as “corruptocrats” and thieves, there’s a perfect example in Jefferson County, Colorado. Estelle Carson was accused of stealing from a woman who was wheelchair-bound, partially blind, suffering from cerebral palsy, and living on an income of less than $600/month.

To the Jefferson County Democratic Party, she apparently sounded like a real winner, as she was named their Democrat of the Year. No, seriously. Carson had confessed to the crime, but hadn’t yet been formally convicted, so they thought it was A-OK to still give her the title of Democrat of the Year.

The title has since been revoked, but when Chris Kennedy, chairman of the Jefferson County Democratic Party, initially awarded it to Carson, he didn’t seem to care much about the charges, which he was fully aware of.

“After much consideration, my decision was that the award being presented by my organization and the alleged financial exploitation need to be compartmentalized, one having no bearing on the other. Thus I decided to present the award to Estelle,” Kennedy wrote in an email following the event.

It’s not really that strange though, when you think about it. Liberals argue that it’s perfectly acceptable to steal money from hardworking Americans all the time. They just want the government to do the dirty work for them instead.
