No more HOCKEY??? Read and watch the insightful, intelligent analysis Democratic Senator Sheldon Whitehouse gives about the effect of global warming on the sport of hockey, ponds, sport “palaces” and skiing in Rhode Island.

The money quote:

“Without cold enough weather for frozen ponds, the kind of hockey that you play out of doors with your friends gets a little bit harder to achieve.”

Hold on a minute.  HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.  Ok, let’s proceed.

Whitehouse also suggested the “climate change” will prevent his family from continuing to go skiing in Rhode Island.  Again, from the article:

“I took my kids skiing at Yawgoo Valley ski slopes in Rhode Island.  The New York Times recently reported that we can expect all the ski slopes in Connecticut and Massachuetts to be gone.  Obviously, given Rode Island’s location,  if that’s true of Connecticut and Massachuetts that will also be unfortunately true of Rhode Island”

Well, he DOES know his regional geography, I’ll give him that.  Rhode Island IS next to Massachuetts.

But wait!  He’s not the only “global warming” alarmist who is sure their pet cause is responsible for other natural disasters.  According to the President of the European Economic and Social Committee, Staffan Nilsson, global warming is directly responsible for earthquakes!

Oh hell! Not only hockey, but earthquakes??

Staffan knows that  Mother Nature is sending us “a sign”:

“Some islands affected by climate change have been hit,” said Nilsson.  “Has not the time come to demonstrate on solidarity – not least solidarity in combating and adapting to climate change and global warming?”

“Mother Nature has again given us a sign that that is what we need to do, ” he added.”

Ok, another minute, please:  LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL.

Senator Whitehouse – this is the very same guy who said the GOP was responsible for tornadoes and rising seas.

Ah, liberals.  They never tire of trying (sometimes with hilarious results) to control and regulate everything, including the weather, earthquakes, and other natural disasters – and extort your money and freedom while doing it.

It’s all very funny if not so depressingly and tragically accurate.
