Hackers who stole information about subscribers from a website geared toward people looking to cheat on their spouses have released the data online.
A file nearly 10 gigabytes in size was posted on the dark web Tuesday that included AshleyMadison.com account logins, credit card info and other details, Wired reported.
Nothing is a secret on the internet, and plenty of spouses are learning that today. Corey Nachreiner, the chief technology officer for WatchGuard internet security firm had this to say:
“It is a reminder that cyber criminals may be hacktivists with social agendas who want to disrupt day-to-day business or organised criminal groups going after your customers’ financial or personal data – or in this case, both.
