I found this video over at Snark and Boobs, a compilation of soldiers being reunited with their loved ones. To say it was a tearjerker is an understatement.
The reunions are a weekly occurrence here. It always makes me smile whenever I drive down NC 24 past Camp Lejeune. Every week, there are signs hanging welcoming back family members, and they always make me smile. Some bring a little tear to my eye. This video brought many.
So, grab yourself a box of tissues and enjoy the reunions of our nation’s finest being reunited with their loved ones.
And, because that wasn’t enough of a tearjerker, here’s another great video. This one highlights a soldier and his rottweiler (as a fellow rottie owner, I liked this one a lot). He didn’t have anyone to leave his dog with, so he got help from an organization called GASP: Guardian Angels for Soldiers Pets. They give pets foster homes while their owners are deployed. This video is one of their stories, and seeing the rottie’s pure joy at seeing his daddy again was priceless.
