Mimosa, Bloody Mary, nice flute of champagne — or maybe a favorite tipple in your coffee. Make yourself one and join me at our own Algonquin Round Table, the spirit of Dorothy Parker abides.
Happy Sunday, dear friends! A Friday where Punxsutawney Phil shows up to predict an early spring is a good Friday and to that end, the mimosas are poured and the table is set with spring preview dishes to delight your palate. Do try the fresh strawberries and cream. Nostalgic, am I right? Well, load up your plates and let’s get to it.

Well, as long as the barbarity is done for a good cause, of course.
How throwing soup at the Mona Lisa can help fight climate change (snip)
By combining radical forms of civil disobedience with more mainstream actions, such as lobbying and state-sanctioned demonstrations, activists not only grab the public’s attention, they make less aggressive tactics more acceptable and possibly more successful.
Iconoclasm “more acceptable” to whom?
Public reaction isn’t necessarily the activists’ end goal. Often, their aim is to influence government and business decision-makers.
The giddy activist, Shannon Gibson, writing this loveletter to misanthropic climate zombies is an associate professor at University of Southern California. Another data point showing how much the Left is about power and the contempt they have for us normies who just might like enjoying Western art unmarred by soup or insufferable activists. We don’t matter.
Which she should know is that we find she doesn’t either. She relies on the basic decency of others not to run her down in the street if she’s blocking traffic for climate change. I don’t know about every normie, dears, but I’m sure out of any further cares-to-give if some pudgy, pink-haired malingerer plunks their generous tuchus on the road in front of me.
Vroom, vroom.

A mother called the NHS needing possibly urgent medical assistance for her 8 month old baby. Before giving advice, the nurse asked if the baby still identified as the gender she was 'assigned' at birth. Several people replied sharing experiences of NHS staff wasting time this way pic.twitter.com/wPr6yVOMg0

Don’t snicker just because this is Britain’s Socialized Medicine. The Queering of American STEM, along with DEI/CRT, already has its red-lacquered and fabulous talons in American post-graduate institutions including medical schools. It’s only one step from medical personnel asking these questions to denying you care for not answering to their satisfaction.

See any law enforcement? Me neither. Dollars to sprinkle-topped donuts, dears, not one protestor will be either arrested or prosecuted.

Sing a WrongHymn in the wrong pew and face 11 years in prison.
A pro-life activist could face over ten years in prison after a Tennessee court found him and five other activists guilty of violating federal law for protesting at an abortion clinic in 2021.
Paul Vaughn told Fox News that he and others were found guilty of felony conspiracy and violating the FACE Act by peacefully singing hymns at an abortion clinic.
“Well, apparently, Laura, I’m guilty of talking with police officers and not getting arrested the day of the event. That makes you a felon in Joe Biden’s Department of Justice,” he said on Wednesday’s “The Ingraham Angle.”
Biden Obama’s DOJ/FBI has been weaponized against ordinary Americans for the temerity of being ordinary Americans. Who is really afraid of Catholics, parents, people who purchase a Bible or pray in public? Only those who find people of good moral fiber difficult to control. Ayn Rand may been an avowed atheist as an adult, but she sure knew what motivated the social justice activist regardless of what they call themselves in any generation.
“Did you really think we want those laws observed?” said Dr. Ferris. “We want them to be broken. You’d better get it straight that it’s not a bunch of boy scouts you’re up against… We’re after power and we mean it… There’s no way to rule innocent men. The only power any government has is the power to crack down on criminals. Well, when there aren’t enough criminals one makes them. One declares so many things to be a crime that it becomes impossible for men to live without breaking laws. Who wants a nation of law-abiding citizens? What’s there in that for anyone? But just pass the kind of laws that can neither be observed nor enforced or objectively interpreted – and you create a nation of law-breakers – and then you cash in on guilt. Now that’s the system, Mr. Reardon, that’s the game, and once you understand it, you’ll be much easier to deal with.”

Even NYPD personnel rank lower in priority to Bragg when he only has energy to Get Trump. Too bad those cops getting beat weren’t Satanists.
Happening Now: DA Alvin Bragg has finally given a public statement on the illegals who attacked NYPD officers and were released. According to him “we didn’t have enough evidence,” even though they have footage of the assault happening.

Turning lemons into a really big pitcher of lemonade, appetizers and desserts.
An anonymous woman in California turned the unthinkable into the unforgettable last month when, instead of cutting a cake and tossing a bouquet, she donated her wedding reception to charity. (snip)
The bride-to-be had to call off her wedding due to something she learned about her fiancé, NBC Bay Area reported.
But the venue and other rentals — totaling around $15,000 — were nonrefundable.
So the woman decided to turn what should have been her own happy memories into an unforgettable night for some special kids and their families.
The organization that accepted the donation, Parents Helping Parents, serves the needs of families with special needs children and young adults. They leaped into action organizing a wonderful night out for these youngsters that included dancing, a dessert bar and photo booth. Wonderful memories were made woven from the generosity of a woman at probably one of the lowest moments of her life. Brava to her.

but I’m sure out of any further cares-to-give
I would love to see conservative art lovers show up to museums carrying canes and umbrellas and saps. In groups.
Traffic has been shut down in both directions.
That seems like an easy solution, if you want to take it. Start pitching them over the side.
Look, folks, it’s illegal detention, a violent felony. ACT ACCORDINGLY.
found him and five other activists guilty of violating federal law
Look, this group screwed up. They actually blocked the entrance to the abattoir. You can argue against the law, but they actually broke it. This isn’t someone who stood in a public space and didn’t hinder anyone’s travel. They were inside a private building and blocked the hallway (look at the popular pictures of them sitting in the hallway). (Yes, plenty of Progressive cultists do the same in other places and get away with it.) If you don’t want to go to jail, then don’t break the law while you’re protesting.
“we didn’t have enough evidence,”
Yeah, now pull the other one.
But, the real problem here isn’t Bragg. No, it’s the fact that some large chunk of the electorate in NYC actually voted for him. The people are the problem here.
So the woman decided to turn what should have been her own happy memories…
Sounds kinda like a parable about a wedding feast….
