Mimosa, Bloody Mary, nice flute of champagne — or maybe a favorite tipple in your coffee. Make yourself one and join me at our own Algonquin Round Table, the spirit of Dorothy Parker abides.

Blessed Sunday, dear friends! This has been a very difficult week and I’m so glad we are here together today. We need each other more than ever because who could ever predict the political assassination of Charlie Kirk in the middle of a college campus? I know I’ve gone from shocked and numb to cold fury. But today, I want to break bread with friends and ask God for the grace to get through this day celebrating life and cherishing the good among us. So lift up your flutes, my dears, let’s remember Charlie, a true lion at heart and pray for the health and safety of his widow and children. Let’s get to it. L’Chaim!

Who knew that letting criminals out of jail would mean more crime?

It’s a mystery!

“We Are Charlie Kirk”

This is South Korea:

Oh bloody hell, we are in original Obi Wan Kenobi territory here.

Lyin’ liars who lie, keep lying

Hope for England?

More, please.

“They need to look in the mirror and stop”

Konstantin Kisin of Triggernometry.

And just in case, dears, we have any party crashers who would claim that it is just a few radical crazies using the “fascist/Nazi/Literally Hitler” slurs, here’s a reminder:

And that’s just an amuse bouche of Leftwinger viciousness.

Your Sunday smile

Bitter sweet … because all romance should be so fun and these two should have had fifty more years at it.

*****************************

I’m not crying, you’re crying. Let me pass a box of tissues around and ask, before we leave today, that we take a moment of silence to pray for God’s peace and love for Erika Kirk, her children, for Charlie’s parents and extended family.

Please, this Sunday, go home to hug your family, reach out to beloved friends. Our time here on Earth is never promised. Cherish it. See you next week. Peace.

You’re right, Darlene, I’m crying. At the same time I am still so determined this insanity we call politics across the globe has got to stop. I am encouraged to see the world out and about, vocal again at last! Thanks for Sundays, I look forward to you every week.

I love your Sunday posts and this one is right on the nose.
