Can’t say I’m particularly surprised. We can talk all we want about her lack of qualifications, her judicial activism, and her apparent racism. It wouldn’t have mattered. There was no way that Sotomayor wasn’t going to be confirmed. One a side note, almost every Democrat voted for her, with Sen. Ted Kennedy being the only one who didn’t vote for her. On a positive note, all the no votes were from Republicans; however, 9 Republicans did vote for her. Here are the 9 GOP sell-outs:

Of course she was confirmed. Everyone is afraid of the “RACIST” tag from the Hispanics. They’re kowtowing to the “Hispanic vote” because there are elections coming up in the near future…
And of course, the liberals that want to scream ‘racism’ when it suits them.
Most of this list doesn’t surprise me. I’m disappointed with Lamar Alexander; I thought he had more sense then to ally with the RINOs.
As a wise white man, whose cultural experiences gives me a better understanding of this situation than any female or minority could comprehend, her term on the supreme court will likely prove devastating to this country, to the constitution, and the rule of law in general. Only to be mitigated by the fact that she is limited to one vote.
Sherrod Brown and George Voinovich need the axe, Ohio could do much better.
