Well, it’s another quiet weekend here in the good old U.S. of A. This is what happens when you nibble around the edges of foreign policy for forty years. Fortunately, we have many partners in this case. Countries and individuals are helping us. This includes Reza Pahlavi, son of the last Shah of Iran, who is providing inspiration and motivation to the people hoping for freedom there.
Our Deanna told you first thing this morning about the attacks on strategic sites in Iran. It was not just a follow on to Midnight Hammer in June, 2025. Iran has been killing, wounding and torturing Americans since 1979. Their time was up.
Next, Nina told you about the Perpetual Pearl-clutchers wailing to the world about the audacious President Donald Trump. They absolutely adore being wrong.
We don’t know a whole lot yet but I wanted to tell you about Reza Pahlavi. When Iran was hit with Trump’s Midnight Hammer, Pahlavi warned America that this was the Iranian people’s fight. As our Carol wrote at that time he was and is right. Read her piece here.
The Shaw of Iran was deposed in 1979 and died soon after. His son, Reza Pahlavi has not lived in Iran since he was a teenager BUT he has not swanned around like Bonnie Prince Charlie through Europe. The Crown Prince has stayed in contact with and supportive of the Iranian Diaspora.
Also, in January of this year, Trump told the Iranian people that help was on the way and to keep protesting:
Donald Trump has told Iranians to keep protesting and said help was on the way, in the clearest sign yet that the US president may be preparing for military action against Tehran.
“Iranian Patriots, keep protesting – take over your institutions!!! … help is on its way,” Trump said in a post on Truth Social on Tuesday, a day after the White House press secretary said airstrikes were among “many, many options” the US president was considering.
Trump added that he had cancelled all meetings with Iranian officials until the “senseless killing” of protesters stopped.
His remarks suggest Iran’s offer to reopen talks on its nuclear programme has been rejected by Trump in the face of increasingly credible reports that as many as 2,000 Iranians had been killed in the protests. Iranian officials had earlier admitted to 600 deaths.
The reality was more than 30,000.
Reza Pahlavi himself posted this on X.
My dear compatriots,
Decisive moments lie before us.
The assistance that the President of the United States had promised to the brave people of Iran has now arrived. This is a humanitarian intervention, and its target is the Islamic Republic, its apparatus of repression, and… https://t.co/YAq3rJLzdd pic.twitter.com/VVQ17mvhJ9

It is a humanitarian intervention. Pahlavi’s message to the military and police echoes that of Trump’s.
Trump told members of the Revolutionary Guards, Iran’s armed forces, to lay down their weapons, promising they would be granted immunity. The other option, according to Trump, was ‘certain death’
Victory will be in the hands of the Iranian people:
Reza Pahlavi has been 200% with the Iranian people and is recognized throughout the world. He represented the diaspora at the Munich Security Council recently:
I was proud to represent the people of Iran at the @MunSecConf to ensure that world leaders, policy makers, and the media heard their voice. I wasn’t alone, but with 250,000 of my compatriots.
Each day, more of the world is with us in our fight for freedom. pic.twitter.com/QnjRRS0fBC

Reza Pahlavi may be the next leader of Iran: Shah or President. He may be just an advisor to a leadership council. That is all for another day and is a decision for the beautiful Persian people to decide.
We need the Islamic Republic to stop murdering and maiming our people now.
