Q&A: When did you get interested in politics?

Question:

At what age did you start getting interested in politics?

I was always interested in politics, even as a little kid. I remember in first grade arguing with kids on the playground about Bush vs. Clinton — no lie. Then, of course, I think more than anything I was just parroting my parents. I was always aware, though, especially the older I got, and wanted to be involved in the larger world around me. Even as a kid I wanted to make a difference. Once I got into high school, I started paying closer attention, but it wasn’t until the 2004 election that I really started to consider myself involved with politics, when I was about 19 or 20.
