barack obama is gearing up for his overseas tour which includes stops in france, germany and iraq — all to give the impression of political gravitas and that all elusive foreign policy experience he so lacks.  remember he was only in the US Senate for 144 days before he announced his run for the white house!

and guess what?  it will be a huge media event:  brian and charlie and katie will all be there and upwards to 200 other reporters will be traveling with him.  this does not include local reporters from various countries following obambi’s travels.

so expect screaming, thrills and chills, and most likely fainting.  and i am sure there will be complete euphoria on all the faces; and excitement that seems almost out of this world — he is after all obambi and the obamessiah all wrapped up into one very cleverly promoted package!

oh and for the record?  john mccain has taken three foreign trips in the past four months, all unaccompanied by a single network anchor.
