obama and putin met each other for the first time yesterday at putin’s place. they look silly. don’t they have bigger chairs in russia?

even though they look quite uncomfortable with each other, i think they could eventually be friends. they have a lot in common: they both have huge egos, both like to show off their pecs, and both are control-freak socialists.

they really dislike the american tendency to be informal or what they call “false politeness” or putting on airs.
putin may have thought he could outwit bush, but he probably did genuinely like him as he has said.
i am sure he thinks obama is elitist trash who he would love to turn over to his kgb buddies. you can use the picture for a caption contest

Obama went to Russia to renew a treaty without the approval of Congress. This is in violation of our Constitution. And what do we hear from the media?

Karen says: LOL. Funny picture. I think Obama looks way worse. He looks totally like a fish out of water!!! Why is he pulling at his sock?? Have some dignity man! Putey looks like he wants to leap on someone and put them in a KGB headlock. They are both on the edge of their chairs because they want to look engaged instead of relaxed by sitting back. I think it could also be the angle the photo was taken but it’s still a great picture.

They’re cool chairs, but not for sitting. Maybe they’re Chaise lounges and look like chairs from this angle.
