There should be no other women more respected in this country than military moms. These brave women watch their sons and daughters ship out to the most anti-American corners of the world to spread freedom and fight for the American way, knowing that some of them won’t come back. Losing a child is a mother’s greatest fear, but many military moms continue to support their beloved children in their endeavors out of an amazing sacrifice for their country.
However, a growing number of military moms cannot separate their personal interests from those of our country, especially when their children’s lives are at stake. In fact, there are quite a few who are staunchly outspoken against the war while their sons and daughters are actively serving this great country overseas.
How can a young soldier face the daily challenges of fighting in an unpopular war, knowing full well that he or she does not have the full support of family back home? By allowing space for doubt in their children’s minds, military moms against the war may be putting even more lives at risk. A distracted soldier does not perform at his or her best.
The irony here is that most military moms are supportive of their child while they watch him or her rise up through the ranks of the military, enjoying the perks and benefits of a steady paycheck, health care, and education, only to become vocal detractors after their son or daughter is deployed overseas.
What all moms should remember is that their children have trained for the day when they get the call, and they are ready to make sacrifices, sometimes even the ultimate one, for the country that has protected and provided for them since birth.
Moreover, it is the mother’s role to stand strong, especially when her child occasionally doubts the integrity of the mission. We are fighting for democracy and justice. We are fighting for those who lost their lives during 9/11. We are fighting for those who have made the ultimate sacrifice in the name of protecting the United States of America. Soldiers eat, breathe, and live this fight. They were born ready for it. Why question and criticize government initiatives that compensate soldiers for doing what they know is right?
Military moms who are outspoken against the war are more often than not worried for their children, which is only natural. It is an amazingly difficult thing to see a child leave in uncertainty, not knowing what lies ahead in the future. But it is also a beautiful sacrifice, one any mother should be proud to make. Those who cannot see it as such have lost the patriotism and dedication that they worked so hard to instill in their children.
“But it is also a beautiful sacrifice, one any mother should be proud to make.”
Why should any mother want to lose her child for obamas fake war on terror. Only a psychopath would want to sacrifice her child for the rich elite of the USA.
American military leaders SUPPORT the TROOPS by releasing over 500 Taliban prisoners in Afghanistan. U.S. Air Force Maj. Karen Davis, (AFFIRMATIVE ACTION PROMOTION) a spokeswoman in Kabul, told The Washington Examiner “nearly 500 detainees held in the [detention facility in Parwan] have been released outright or transferred to the [Afghan government] for disposition under Afghan law” so far this year.
YOU CAN TAKE IT TO THE BANK THESE MILITARY LEADERS ARE NOT AND DO NOT HAVE THIER CHILDREN ON THE FRONT LINES IN AFGHANISTAN FOR THIS UNWINNABLE WAR.
Remember it has cost the taxpayer 50 million dollars for every Afghani soldier we have killed. It costs the taxpayer one million dollars to send one soldier to Afghanistan for one year. It costs NATO about $400 to ship a gallon of gas to Afghanistan.
How do you define winning in Afghanistan? How do you define defeat?
I don’t think you can… There’s really nothing there to win or lose.
As for the joke that is the “war on terror”, till we have a MEXICAN border wall, and troops on it—there is no war on terror.
The term Taliban is SO misleading. It infers that we are fighting a cohesive unit and force. We are not. We are killing Afghanis, the Afghanis are fighting against us. It is not some mythical force called Al Qaeda or Taliban. IT is AFGHANS fighting against our occupation and against our violence and killing.
We like to label things and make Afghanis less human by calling them something they are not.
We are occupying a sovereign nation, we are killing the civilians in midnight raids by death squads and drones. We are killing them because they dare stand against the inhumane treatment and war we declared against them.
There is no Taliban, there is no Al Qaeda. They do not hate us for our freedoms. They hate us for occupying their lands, killing their women and children and enforcing an alien ideology upon them (winning the hearts and minds). They are called terrorist, but we are the ones spending trillions of dollars making and using instruments of terror.
There is no set of circumstances that can be achieved where Afghanistan can be declared a victory so regardless of outcome it will be a defeat.
Wordplay… a game right of the book 1984
These people are not like Americans, the Afghan people truly want to live free and unmolested by Imperialist powers.
Canada could invade USA and actually WIN because all they would have to do is win the “hearts” and “minds” of Americans in order to achieve victory.
And that could be done with a nice paycheck and a six pack of beer.
In the east it’s a totally different world , the “people” don’t have hearts nor minds, they are like a hive that cares nothing for beer or paychecks.
As you say “We are fighting for those who lost their lives during 9/11.” Then we should be at war with Saudi Arabia (largest financer of Al Queda) and Egypt since it was Arabians and Egyptians who commandeered the planes on 9/11. Not one Afghani was involved.
So maybe the mothers who object to needlessly sacrificing thier children are merely sane, normal, loving mothers.
Anyhow the main concern of all Americans, especially the military leaders including our brave Commander & Chief; is not if we lose a few soldiers but how to incorporate the GAYS into the military by doing away with DADT. Talk about priorities.

No Afghans involved? Hah. It isn’t like al Queda sprang forth, fully formed from the mind of Zeus. They had training camps, places to live and work away from prying eyes. They had enough time to draw up and publish handbooks.
And strangely enough, those training camps weren’t located in Egypt or Saudi Arabia. And after 9/11, after bin Laden said “yeah, we did that”, we asked the Taliban to hand over al Queda and they refused. I’m guessing we offered them bribes, and then threats.
So maybe the mothers who object to needlessly sacrificing thier children are merely sane, normal, loving mothers.
Their children volunteered. And at this point, most of those adults know there’s an extremely good chance of going to a hotspot where you can get shot at, or IED’d, or suicide bombed. Especially those who re-upped their term of service.
“No Afghans involved? Hah. It isn’t like al Queda sprang forth, fully formed from the mind of Zeus. They had training camps, places to live and work away from prying eyes. They had enough time to draw up and publish handbooks.”
Yeah name one Afghan involved with 911. The mythical Al Queda actually sprang from the mind of the CIA (not Zeus)so more freedom could be taken away from Americans. Think airport and walmart security measures LOL.
The CIA puppet group Al Queda did train in Saudi Arabia, Florida, and Germany was where the 911 plans were finalized.
The government probably bribed that clown bin Laden to say “yeah, we did that”. Or maybe gave him a new kidney dialysis machine to drag around in the caves of Afghanistan.
The obama Government CIA objectives are to get a few thousand troops killed, free up the poppy fields so the banks to big to fail can profit laundering the drug money, foster hatred against the west and waste a few trillion dollars of tax payers money to profit the arms industry.
In regard to your comment “adults know there’s an extremely good chance of going to a hotspot where you can get shot at, or IED’d, or suicide bombed.” More troops commit suicide each year than are killed in Afghanistan.
Also according to congress today the illegal immigrant amnesty Dream act covers illegal immigrant youths up to age 35. So these were not ADULTS making the decision to join the military or re-up. The main reason these youths join the military is because there are no jobs in america. The jobs are taken by illegals who work for peanuts.
In short I would not let my child’s life be wasted for the global rich elite. As for the joke that is the “war on terror”, until we have a MEXICAN border wall, and troops on it — there is no war on terror.
