why is michelle obama’s security detail afraid for her to accept speaking engagements in south carolina? jim clyburn (d-sc) says it’s because of ‘hostility‘. omg – not the dreaded hostility!
there was a incident of a man from sc who compared mo to a gorilla in a zoo. he apologized. and then there was joe wilson calling out barack obama and his lies on healthcare reform. he apologized too.
so what gives? is mo really a target – a victim of her own awesomeness – by those ‘hostile’ in sc? or is it as some suggest, just punishment for dissent? afterall, we know this is the way the obama administration plays hardball.
but hey, i’m a pragmatist. if it means keeping mo at home, i’m good.

Jane says: Someone recently traced Michelle’s slave roots to a plantation in South Carolina. I wonder if that has something to do with it? Until then little was known about her ancestry. Whatever the case, as First Lady she gets THOUSANDS of invitations daily. She can’t go everywhere. This is more then likely just a story to dish on.

Maybe MO doesn’t like the redneck comment. Also, isn’t it SC that flies the confederate flag still? She is such a bitter woman, I am sure it doesn’t take much for her to hold grudges.
Maybe the real reason is they don’t want her to do many public engagements with things so sensitive right now over healthcare and Afghanistan. They know MO will say something wrong.
Lucy says: So let’s say, for the sake of argument, that Michelle Obama really is afraid of the hostility in SC towards her. But she goes to speak anyway out of duty. While she’s there, someone calls in a false police report that a gorilla is lose from the zoo and it goes viral. Will the Obama people cry foul and racism? You bet. Who is the racist? The one who pranked Michelle or the Obama administration for once again perpetuating racism?

This president has behaved like a spoiled brat since taking office, why WOULDN’T we expect exactly this kind of treatment. Obama needs to grow up…..and apparently so do his worshipers.

Toma says: Obama has yet to visit a (red) state. His personal appearances have been confined to hot beds of his supporters. Is he afraid of (red) states. I don’t think we will see O or MO either one visiting areas that are not rich in Obama supporters. He loves adoring crowds and he will avoid states he did not “win”. It’s cowardly and very typical of a Democrat’s character.
