A quote: “Only those who will risk going too far can possibly find out how far one can go.” ~~ T. S. Eliot
I’ll start with a story …
***************************
The last straw was the sound of the key in the lock behind her.
“No!” her cry was low, guttural as she darted across the room. The retreating footsteps spurred panic and she pounded the door.
“You can’t do this!”
The window too high, the door too thick, she collapsed to the floor sobbing.
“We are an ancient family,” her late father had schooled her. “Honor them with your self-control.”
She stood, tears drying and set her resolve.
“No more,” she whispered, gathering deep from within and with a flick of her wrist the door crashed open.
“I’m coming, stepmother.”
***************************
Now, it’s your turn.

Yesterday the 6th of December 2019 marked my 6th annual #halfstachefriday
Don’t spend your whole stash, shave half! It’s not funny having no money but it is funny having half a moustache.
Sure it’s simply a pun on words but what it actually stands for is financial advice. Save for the future because you’ll be old someday, hopefully; and your body may not be able to collect as many acorns to make it through winter.
Which brings me to my final note… you can’t eat money and Nature has no bank to borrow from… let our pockets fill our bellies.
December 8. Out the window lies a dreary scene of snow, ice, and afternoon darkness. Months will pass before the goddess Persephone makes her way up from Hades to bring forth Spring. Yet, there is reason for good cheer. After today, at this latitude in Transchoptankia, the sun will begin setting later each day. Never mind that it will continue rising later until early January, which is why the winter solstice is the shortest day of the year.
