Meanwhile, Jake Wallis Simons, the editor of the Jewish Chronicle, quipped: “Seriously. Yahya Sinwar, Putin, Xi and the Ayatollah are laughing so hard (and sharpening their knives).”

Of course, “Queers for Palestine” isn’t a new thing nor organization. The groups astroturf grassroot organize under several names (e.g. QUIT, QuAIA) and self-proclaimed members tie themselves up in rhetorical knots trying to defend their Israel Must Go sentiments with the fact that they would be summarily tossed off of tall buildings if they ever set foot in Gaza, Judea or Samaria by the Arab anti-Jew ideology they support.

When it comes to “Queers for Palestine,” what’s richly ironic is that many LGBT Palestinians seek asylum in Israel—the same country these stateside protesters are rallying against.

At the heart of this contradiction is the tendency within social justice movements to pick a clear protagonist and antagonist, the oppressed and the oppressor, and to proceed from there in one-size-fits-all fashion. Some progressives decided long ago that Palestine is the former and Israel is the latter, which is the seed from which everything must grow. Palestine, then, stands not only for anti-colonialism but also LGBT rights and reproductive rights, despite that those rights, in any meaningful sense of the word, do not actually exist there.

Another obvious irony is that Arabs are the actual colonizers of the area, having swept out of the Arabian pennisula in the 600s AD into the area where the only soveriegn nation to exist in the area of modern Israel WAS historic Israel — about a couple thousand years before Mohammad and his caliphs conquered and occupied Jerusalem.

It’s not simply the Leftist binary “oppressed/oppressor” driving hierarchy at play here. It is the anti-Western-liberalism at the Left’s foundation on which all this is built. Israel is a liberal democracy allied with Big Satan America. Destroying Israel and, indeed, wiping out Jews goes a long way towards destroying America by repudiating and hollowing out its Judeo-Christian core.

The Left’s behavior in either ignoring or rewriting history — or deliberately only considering history in the tiny bites that support their claims — has buried the cultural revolution that was Judaism. Something that our Founding Fathers knew and honored.

You’re seeing the result of several decades of education in Leftwing Seminaries on American campuses today. And it doesn’t bode well for a classically liberal, republican (little “l” and “r”) America. Jews are just the appetizer.
