Drag Queen Blames Us For Event Cancellation

It’s all our fault. We simply don’t have enough love and inclusivity in our hearts. Now Mr. Ed Popil is upset. He’s pointing the finger of blame at us. Mr. Popil’s drag persona is Mrs. Kasha Davis and he is one of the all-stars of RuPaul’s Drag race. He is not a run of the mill performer. He is a professional. He is an all-star. If those of us prejudiced (likely Christian) and narrowminded twits would grow up he could do shows for children all he wanted. Ummm. Did I say that right?

Mrs. Kasha Davis, aka Ed Popil is salty as all get out that his Drag and Bingo event got cancelled. The event was set to raise funds for the Child Advocacy Center of Greater Rochester, NY. Mr. Popil is still going to donate funds from his other events, but if the kids get less funding and don’t feel free and inclusive, it’s your fault. It’s the negative responses the center got because of narrow minds like yours and mine. Here are the deets:

A drag bingo fundraiser planned to benefit the Child Advocacy Center of Greater Rochester was canceled amid backlash, according to Ed Popil, also known as Mrs. Kasha Davis. Popil, a celebrity drag queen, was set to perform at the event scheduled for August 17.

Popil said he learned about the cancellation through a phone call from Mary Whittier, the interim CEO of the Child Advocacy Center. “We found out the event was canceled from a phone call from Mary Whittier, the interim CEO, saying there was some backlash, that there was some misunderstanding that it was ridiculous, on her part she felt as though it was ridiculous,” Popil said.

The organization, Drag Me to the Stage, first announced the cancellation, citing outcry from a “small but vocal community.” In a Facebook statement, the Child Advocacy Center said the decision to cancel was not made lightly and was influenced by the conversation surrounding the event.

“Drag Me to the Stage”? Yes, and you will never guess who runs this organization. Never mind, you will.

And Mrs. Davis’s spouse is also one of the officers of Drag Me to the Stage. So, he contracted for this event and when the Rochester group cancelled, he sent out his own press release from his organization. Then, when the press came by to interview him, he didn’t mention that it was his group that sent out the press release, get it. Neither the Daily Wire nor News 10 mentioned the connection in their articles. It’s important because it makes their “side” seem like it has more support than it really does.

From the Daily Wire:

Drag queen Ed Popil, whose stage name is “Mrs. Kasha Davis,” was set to co-host the event, and says the cancellation is about giving into “hate.”

Popil said the charity’s CEO, Mary Whittier, let him know about the cancellation on a phone call.

“I said on that call, well, then we’re letting hate win,” he told 13 WHAM News. “Because pretty much on a daily basis, unfortunately, as a drag artist, as a performer, especially when I do story hour, and most recently I was at a Pride festival, and I brought the kids up and we’re dancing, and then when you look at the comments, the hateful, negative, angry comments were plentiful.”

It’s not hateful to want kids protected from things they aren’t ready to understand. It’s not negative to protect children from gender ideology. To good old Ed it’s just hate:

More from the Daily Wire:

Popil, who’s put on “story hour” events in drag for young children, claims he gives age-appropriate performances.

“I’ll speak for myself,” he told 13 WHAM News. “I can look across a room and know what kind of performance I’m going to give that’s going to be appropriate for all ages.”

“I would love for them to see the perspective, to see the eyes light up,” the drag queen continued. “And I say that audience — eyes that are lighting up — are not just children.”

“That’s why I do the work that I do,” Popil added. “That’s why I read books to kids. That’s why we encourage the messages of shining your light, being yourself, and being kind to others.”

Drag is not a crime as it says in the feature picture. That’s true. And it can be fun and entertaining.

But here is a question for Ed, if eyes that are lighting up are not just children, why don’t you go do a Drag Story Hour or Drag Bingo at a Senior Center? Why do you have to be around children?

Stay away from kids, you sick fuckers. There are a lot of people getting angry enough about your behavior that a prison sentence is not going to be a deterrent.

His sign only had half the statement:

“Drag is not a crime, but grooming children is.”

Can’t figure out why they don’t understand this. The vast majority of Americans, including Christians of almost any persuasion, don’t give a wet fart about what those folks do to or with each other. Nor do we care about drag shows for adults who might be interested in that sort of thing. But we do suspect that their interest in children has to do with recruiting not entertainment. We don’t “hate” them, we just don’t want them doing their thing in front of our kids.

Drag is a perverted form of “make believe” !!!

It’s kinda funny if it weren’t so sad. Disney bans Peter Pan because it’s a play written over 100 years ago about the imagination of a 12-year-old boy and yet we must include openly gay individuals to place gayness into the imaginations of our kids. Up is down, truth is false, and right is now wrong!

You can do drag if you want, just not around kids. Kids are also not allowed in strip clubs

Not a crime. Just a weird fraud.
