Sad news from the Romney camp:
In a message from our Illinois State Senator Dan Rutherford, who was Gov. Mitt Romney’s Campaign Manager for President in Illinois; comes this news:
I wanted you to know that Ann Romney was recently diagnosed with early-stage breast cancer. Media reports have Mitt saying she is doing well after undergoing a lumpectomy.
In a statement issued to the press, Ann said, “While this is commonly referred to as early-stage breast cancer, it is technically not cancer, but rather precancer, as it is not invasive.”
I’m glad to hear that Ann is doing well, but the news of cancer is never easy to bear. Please join me in keeping Ann as well as the entire Romney family in your thoughts and prayers.
I am sorry to bear or hear bad news.
I am not a doctor, but I don’t believe there is a “precancer”.
My wife has breast cancer. She had the surgery a lot of years ago, but when she had an X-ray a couple of months ago to get an answer to back and muscle pains, they saw suspicious lesions.
NMRI’s, X-Rays, and PET’s later they have decided that they are healed srss-fractures, and such.
But let’s check again in 6 months.
Meanwhile, the back and muscle pains continue.
The good news is that the diagnosis of breast cancer is not an immediate death warrant, lots of victims live for a long time with it.
Did you know that men get it too? Want to hear some note so funny stories about sex discrimination? A man (now dead) that my wife met at an on-line support groupd told tales of trying to get mammograms, and such.
Yes, he died of breast cancer.
I just came across your blog about Breast Cancer and wanted to drop you a note
