The Washington Post, where journalism died in the dark, is now writing on how wonderful and great it will be to have a president going to Mass every Sunday and offering folksy stories of nuns. What a difference a few months make in a paper that sought to portray SCOTUS Judge Amy Coney Barrett and her Catholic faith as something weird, dark and dangerous.

What you get from reading WaPo’s piece is not that Biden will really will set the new standard but that Biden’s cafeteria Catholicism is acceptable to Leftists.

“It’s potentially a game-changer in American politics,” said Kathleen Sprows Cummings, head of the Cushwa Center for the Study of American Catholicism at the University of Notre Dame. When Biden has spoken in detail about his faith, he’s emphasized the values of welcome, decency and that the worst sin is the abuse of power. With those images in the White House, Cummings said, “there is a potential to expand our national conversation about faith in public life beyond the abortion question.

I shouldn’t have to point out the rank hypocrisy of Biden talking about the “abuse of power” when he has taken advantage of his own power – from fondling girls and women in public to threatening Ukraine to profit his son, Hunter.

What WaPo loves about the Biden-style of Catholicism is that it is in line with the leftwing Pope Francis.

Francis has since changed Catholic culture, Krueger and others said, by emphasizing a wide range of things addressed in Catholic teaching, in particular the plight of refugees, human loneliness in the Internet age and the moral urgency of climate change.

Acceptable Catholicism is one that is no-borders, same-sex marriage, 57 and counting genders, and socialist. The Catholicism of members of SCOTUS is not acceptable because their support of First Amendment guarantee of free exercise of religion is just a smokescreen to discriminate against the LGBTQQRSTXYZ community.

In other words, the Catholicism that WaPo finds acceptable is the faith that embraces Leftwing secular diktats.

I was just here a couple of days ago on how David French, “practicing Evangelical Christian”, was telling off all those icky Christians on how they needed to get with the program and assimilate.

Biden and French have more in common with what Red China is doing to the Christian church than with the faith they profess to practice.

One way China seeks to Sinicize Christianity is by re-writing the Bible. A complete communist translation has yet to be revealed.

In the CCP version of the Bible where the adulterous woman is brought to Jesus, Jesus does send the crowd away. But since the law must still be observed, Jesus turns to the woman and stones her to death himself.

Christianity in service of the Chinese Communist culture. As the WaPo wants Catholicism in service of American Leftist culture, where Jesus is queer or Palestinian or whatever the anti-Western Civ fetish de jour demands.

Biden only received a majority of Catholic votes by a small margin. While WaPo acknowledges that many traditional Catholics are suspicious of the man who was part of the administration that persecuted The Little Sisters of the Poor, supports males competing in women’s sports and is pro-abortion, the writer believes Biden’s message of unity and healing will win these doubting Thomases over.

Unity and healing? Not hardly.

And just like that the rioting and looting has ceased overnight. And now the half of the country that pummeled America like a battered wife is telling her to put on sunglasses, hide her black eye, be a good girl, and “come together as one.” Her answer? “Go fuck yourself.”
