Blackfive has a post today introducing a new veteran’s group, the Warrior Legacy Foundation.
“I will never forget that I am an American, fighting for freedom, responsible for my actions, and dedicated to the principles which made my country free.” – Military Code of Conduct
… So, a few of us decided to start our own foundation – non-partisan – to work with both sides of the aisle to solve veterans issues. We decided that we need to include every generation, every branch of service, in order to stand firm, back to back, and defend our family.
The Warrior Legacy Foundation is born.
And our tag-line is something that has been sworn to by every veteran since 1955. We thought that the end of the Military Code of Conduct best described what we were and what we were to do…”I will never forget that I am an American, fighting for freedom, responsible for my actions, and dedicated to the principles which made my country free.”
The Warrior Legacy Foundation is a non-partisan organization that is committed to the protection and promotion of the reputation and dignity of America’s Warriors.
Across every generation, at war and at peace, America has asked her citizens to protect liberty and defend freedom at all costs. No matter the terrain or political climate, America’s Warriors have met every challenge and made every sacrifice that was asked of them in order to defeat our enemies and protect our way of life. The Warrior Legacy Foundation is a passionate advocate for the preservation and elevation of the hallowed legacy of the American Warrior Class.
Join us and stand firm in defense of the heritage of those brave souls who have preserved and protected our sovereignty throughout our great nation’s history.
They have asked for nothing and have given us everything.
Please help us protect and promote the legacy of the defenders of Democracy.
I joined. Please take the time to join as well, and, if you can spare it, donate. Our veterans deserve our support.
Thanks for the information–looks like a worthy effort.
I still have a service record entry of the Code of Conduct that I had to read and sign upon my enlistment, many years ago. It is the old version, pre-PC and pre-gender neutral. It is kind of fuzzy due to the archives copier, but still readable. If anyone wants to see it, let Cassy know to email me and I will send it on.
I joined 30min ago. a very worthy cause. I served, but fell between the cracks so to speak, tailend charlie(75-80).
