I’m sure the four men abandoned by the White House and the State Department to be slaughtered in Benghazi would have appreciated a different type of squad. A rescue squad. Not a PR blitz by spin doctor for Bill and Hill, Lanny Davis.
A “truth squad” headed by the leading spokesman for the White House during Bill Clinton’s impeachment proceedings:
Davis served as special counsel to President Clinton and was a leading spokesman for the White House during the impeachment proceedings and other White House scandals. Davis went on to conduct a successful private practice in public relations and crisis communications, including publishing several books on how to publicly respond to a crisis. He is now executive vice president of Levick, a PR/communications firm.
It must be nice to be handsomely reimbursed for knowing how to publicly respond to a crisis. And by crisis I mean “how to cover your ass when you’ve been caught lying”.
A truth squad led by a man who said (with a serious face):
‘This is a secretary of state – is the most popular woman in the world, and restored relations with everyone,’ said Davis.
Well…not quite “everyone”
