There’s no doubt that the shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School has scarred its students — perhaps for life. I sincerely hope not, and I trust that the vast majority will return to school and resume their lives.

However, can we adults finally put our collective feet down and refuse to have children dictate our gun policy?
