With Vice President Mike Pence breaking the tie in the Senate, Betsy DeVos has become the Trump Education Secretary. It was considered a historic vote because of the need for the Vice President, who is President of the Senate, to break the tie.

Democrats threw their Trumper Tantrum overnight and used the time to complain that Senator Jeff Sessions would vote to confirm DeVos. Of course, had the Democrat Senators allowed Senator Jeff Sessions to be confirmed as Attorney General, it would not have been possible to confirm Betsy DeVos for the Education Department.

The Senator who replaced the terminally stupid Barbara Boxer from California is Kamala Harris. She is proving herself a worthy replacement for Barbara Boxer and should provide entertainment for the next six years. Of course Senator Harris (a Democrat from CA) is referring to the fake news around Betsy DeVos and grizzly bears. That being said, clearly the senator has never actually seen or interacted with a grizzly, otherwise she wouldn’t say something so stupid.

Then again, she is a Democrat.

With the treacherous Senators Collins and Murkowski voting with the Teachers’ Unions against DeVos, it feel to Vice President Mike Pence to do his duty and drag Betsy DeVos over the finish line.

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell announced last night on his Majority Leader web page that this is the slowest confirmation since the First President of the United States George Washington. And, George Washington was building a government from the ground up. Well done, Senate Democrats (sarc).
