Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma, Washington—a so-called Christian school, mind you—who recently hosted what they proudly dubbed a “Queer Prom” for LGBTQ+ and “ally” youth ages 14 to 24. Yes, you read that right. Fourteen to twenty-four. Only in 2025 do you call it a prom when kids dance with adults and leave with condoms and an HIV test instead of a corsage.
