We conservatives tend to pride ourselves on being voices of common sense, restraint, and adherence to law. Yet there are those among us who just need to shut up, especially in these tense times.

Former Illinois congressman and now talk show host Joe Walsh is one of those. As the shootings in Dallas occurred, he tweeted an obvious threat to President Obama.

His account was temporarily disabled, and he removed the tweet, with apologies. However, he was back on his radio show, crowing over the publicity he received.

The news aggregation website Drudge Report, popular among conservatives, posted this as its headline immediately after the shootings. Not helpful, Drudge.

Then there is the massively popular talk show host, Rush Limbaugh.
