California Republican Assemblyman Silenced by Democratic chair of the Assembly Labor and Employment Committee

What does the left do when they think they won’t like what is about to be said?

They turn off the microphone, that’s what.

A California Republican assemblyman was left stunned Wednesday when the Democratic chair of the Assembly Labor and Employment Committee cut off his microphone and then ordered security to physically remove the microphone from the meeting.

The incident occurred during debate over legislation that would increase the Golden State’s minimum wage to $11 in 2016 and $13 in 2017. The current minimum wage is $9 an hour and is set to already rise to $10 an hour next year.

Republican Matthew Harper said that Democratic chair Roger Hernández cut off a witness testifying mid-sentence. When Harper, who Hernández had already recognized as the next speaker, began to testify, he too was cut off. If you want to know more about Mr. Hernandez, you can find a report here and here. He’s one heck of a guy!

“This is something I’ve never heard of. Not only does the chair of a meeting cut off debate, but in an effort to really cut it off, he literally reaches to pull your microphone out.”-Matthew Harper

In the following video, Hernández appears to be completely unreceptive to hearing any opposition and in quite a hurry to push the vote through. This video has since been disabled by the owner but you can view the video on YouTube by following the link here:

You can also read the transcript from The Blaze here.

How is this Democratic? We have seen the same smug actions by our very own POTUS a few weeks ago at The White House LGBT Pride Reception.

Hernández’s office did not immediately return requests for comment Thursday according to The Blaze. Reports state that Hernández later expressed his regret to Harper.

In a statement, Harper said:

“Blocking discussion in this manner is unfair, undemocratic and soils the decorum of the Assembly. I was sent here to represent the concerns of the voters of my district and chairman Hernández shut down my ability to speak for who I represent.”

This is happening. What ever happened to all having a voice? Well, unless you’re part of the mindless and blind sheep, you’re just asking for it. You’re combative. You’re a malcontent. You’re obviously not “for the people.” You will be bullied by being called ignorant, stupid, greedy and selfish (another tactic by Democrats to mask their very own shortcomings.)

And, apparently, you will either be taken out or silenced.

Is this thing on? Good.
