One thing is for certain, Carly Fiorina knows how to campaign, and she also knows how to win a debate. Carly wasn’t even on the main stage in the last debate, yet she still managed to win over serious support with her command of the floor. Many even thought she did the best out of all candidates – myself included. She isn’t my #1 pick, but I can’t help but love her tenacity and strategic talents. The New York Times noted that this debate may be an interesting one to watch, and I concur.

Political strategists warn male candidates to use caution when debating against a female rival. But almost never before in American presidential politics has a candidate who has drawn charges of sexism and bullying been forced to personally confront the female recipient of his insults on live television.

Trump has a history of objectifying and belittling women, and many are beginning to catch on after his recent comments regarding Fiorina in a Rolling Stone interview made some rather large waves.

“Look at that face!” he cries. “Would anyone vote for that? Can you imagine that, the face of our next president?!” The laughter grows halting and faint behind him. “I mean, she’s a woman, and I’m not s’posedta say bad things, but really, folks, come on. Are we serious?”

Trump then tried to put the fire out by saying he was merely speaking of her persona, which proved to be the equivalent of pouring a gallon of water over the McNally fire of 2002. Not only was it a cheap attempt at fixing the damage, it was a complete insult to our intelligence. It looks as thought Donald Trump just can’t face strong, intelligent women while retaining any shred of dignity he may have had to begin with.

“This is going to be a defining moment in Carly’s career,” said Boris Feldman, a Silicon Valley lawyer and one of her supporters.

“What’s selling tickets to this is the Trump-Carly card,” he said. “Trump has a thing about anybody questioning him, but especially a woman.”

Mr. Feldman and others close to Mrs. Fiorina expect her to portray Mr. Trump as not being a real Republican, and to call out his inconsistent positions on economic and social issues.
