If you listen to the feminazis, the United States is totally steeped in “rape culture”. If you’re not familiar with the phrase, it means that our country normalizes and trivializes rape by way of denying rape or blaming the victim. It has become the newest feminazi bogeyman — everywhere you look, there’s rape culture. Because clearly, we teach boys that rape is a great idea, right? So the solution to stopping rape, according to these brainiacs, is to teach men not to rape — quite possibly the stupidest thing anyone has ever come up with. Contrary to what the femisogynists caterwaul about, our culture overwhelmingly dictates that rape is wrong, that it is quite possibly one of the worst crimes you can commit against another person, and that it should carry a heavy punishment.

Keith Urban recently had a concert in Boston, and at that concert, a 17-year-old girl was allegedly raped by 18-year-old Sean Murphy while concert goers stood around watching, taping the assault on their cell phones. Both the girl and Murphy had been drinking; Murphy claims the sex was consensual.

Murphy was hanging out with the girl and the pair began kissing when, according to the police report, Murphy led the girl away from her two friends to the back section of the outdoor amphitheater known as the lawn. Police say the girl did not tell Murphy “no” when he moved her away from friends because she was scared.

Then, the police report states that Murphy removed the girl’s shorts and underwear and began having sex with her. The incident reportedly lasted a minute or less and about 15 gathered around them to record what was happening and take pictures.

FOX 25’s Ted Daniel spoke to a witness, who asked not to be identified, via phone.

“My friend told me to look over there and there was a couple on the ground having intercourse. So we looked at it, and we took pictures and we thought it was consensual,” she said.

Several other witnesses also believed the sex to be consensual, until Murphy allegedly left the teen alone, naked from the waist down.

One woman asked the girl, “Do you want this?”

When the girl said no, police were summoned. Witnesses identified Murphy, the venue exits were sealed, and he was found and arrested.

Police have agreed that this was an incidence of rape, which is why Murphy was arrested and will be taken to trial. The video evidence, which hopefully will never be seen by the public, will likely be crucial in determining what actually happened. I’m not casting any doubt onto this girl’s claim that she was raped.

Jezebel, that bastion of feminazi lunacy, also ran with this story. This is how they described it:

As the two began having sex, a small crowd gathered around to watch, some patrons really classing up the joint by taking pictures and video with their phones. When a female bystander asked the girl “do you want this?”, she said “no,” and according to witnesses, broke free from Murphy and ran away. The girl found her friends, who took her to the police. The police, in turn, locked all the concert attendees inside the outdoor amphitheater as they searched for Murphy, who witnesses say was on his cell phone with his parents, telling them that he had “messed up.” According to the police report, he was drunk on Jack Daniels, like the alcohol is some sort of magical rape tonic that turns normal dudes into rapists. The last time I drank Jack Daniels, I had a headache the next day. Did zero raping.

Where it gets especially concerning, though, is in the comment section. A few intrepid commenters had the audacity to question whether or not the situation described was rape, saying more investigating needed to be done, and the Jezebel commenters completely lost it.

i don’t know. i’m taking the whole thing as they were both super drunk and started having sex in public. the “do you want this” sounds like the bystander is asking if she wants to be doing this – having sex in public and being photographed, etc.

i think the story needs a little more investigating before we label it as rape.

This is my attitude as well, and I can’t get over the fact that it is seen as an extreme position. That’s rape culture.

Those are just a few responses to one person’s very respectful questioning of the situation. And this situation aside, does anyone see the problem here? We still have this crazy idea that people in the United States are innocent until proven guilty, but for the feminazis, that doesn’t apply to men who are accused of rape. Nope, if a woman says she was raped, then it is undeniably true, no one better question anything about what happened because that’s “victim blaming”, and no you may not defend yourself. And it’s perfectly acceptable to them to act this way, because to them, all men rape and beat women, and if they don’t, then deep down, they want to. So it’s totally cool to blindly accept an account as rape and attack anyone who might question what happened.

We don’t do this with other crimes. If someone is accused of murder, no one loses their minds because an alternate theory is brought up. People don’t run around shouting about “murder culture” because an investigation is done into how and why this happened. People are innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt, of all crimes. Men are no longer given that privilege thanks to the feminazis and their hysterics over the non-existent rape culture. And yes, it is non-existent — RAINN, the Rape, Incest, and Abuse National Network, put out a press release slamming rape culture and pointing out that rape is committed by a small minority of people who consciously choose to commit a violent crime. This caused outrage from the so-called feminists, who were furious that an organization that actually does take action to prevent rape and sexual abuse didn’t toe the feminazi line. It’s almost as if RAINN is more concerned about fighting sexual abuse than they are about currying favor with people like Amanda Marcotte! Go figure.

Rape is a horrible thing. And anyone who rapes another person deserves to be punished severely. There is no question about that. But just because a very small number of men commit the vile act of rape does not mean that all men deserve to be painted with the rapist brush. That’s what these misandrists are doing when they act as if it is an unspeakable sin to question what happened when someone accuses a man of rape — and only a man, because when a woman is accused of rape, the outrage is noticeably missing. Men deserve presumption of innocence just like women do, even if what they’re accused of is something as despicable as rape. Feminazis disagree with this, and that’s the real result of rape culture: smearing men and taking their rights away.
