If you’re still using Microsoft IE, you may want to stop—especially if you’re still using Windows XP.  Microsoft announced on Sunday that an exploit was found in Internet Explorer versions 6-11, and it won’t be fixed.

Microsoft stopped offering security patches for Windows XP two weeks ago, and so when security company FireEye found the flaw—which gives hackers the same level of access on a network computer as the user sitting in front of the computer—there was nothing for users to download to fix the problem.  It affects all Microsoft operating systems, but XP users are especially vulnerable.

For those who are already security conscious, chances are this won’t affect you.  If you’re smart, you ditched IE long ago.  For those of you still laboring under the assumption that it won’t happen to you, do yourself a favor and change to the Tor Browser.
