My good friend had this to say about tomorrow’s election in Virginia:
“If the Democrat loses, it is an earthquake and you will see the Dems scrambling like a cat covering poop on a marble floor.”
While it’s insulting to cats, I have to agree. Tomorrow’s election is a big finger in the political winds that are swirling through the country.
That’s why you need to click, and watch the video to get some insight into just how…heinous….Democratic candidate for Virginia Lieutenant Governor Ralph Northam behaved in a televised debate. Yep…heinous is a good adjective for this. There are several other adjectives and nouns that come to mind, but let’s stick with heinous.
Now, if that had been a conservative candidate behaving that way, you can bet Chris Matthews would be foaming at the mouth and every media outlet would be scrambling like… like… a cat covering poop on a marble floor. If a liberal black man had extended his hand for a friendly shake, and a white conservative had refused to take it….why, Twitter would break, Obama would have yet another son, and Al Sharpton have another financial opportunity to line his silky, greasy pockets.
I personally don’t believe Mr. Northam is a racist. That is another heinous word that one should be very very careful flinging around unlike liberals do at every turn. I believe he’s a world class jerk and would do and say anything to further agendas that have nothing to do with race and everything to do with power. And I’m not sure which is worse.
Virginians, pay particular attention to this quote from Ken Blackwell:
“The Founders of the American republic understood that democracy only works when both sides can at least be civil to their opponents. Virginia voters need to decide if that disqualifies Ralph Northam from being lieutenant governor of the Old Dominion.
People sometimes accuse politicians of being two-faced or insincere when they refer to bitter opponents as “my good friend” and pose for smiling photos with them. It’s not deception; it’s basic courtesy and respect, without which democracy cannot function.”
Yeah, I know that both conservative and liberal politicians can be “two-faced or insincere”.
I just hope Virginians can spot a hypocritical jerk. And Northam? He owes his opponent, E.W. Jackson, a public apology and a man-to-man handshake.
