This afternoon a Los Angeles Superior Court Judge, Joanne O’Donnell, ruled in favor of the First Amendment by protecting the rights of the Center for Medical Progress. Immediately following the ruling, the Center for Medical Progress released their 8th video, which serves as a trailer for future videos in that it gives you a hint of what is to come.
Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Joanne O’Donnell ruled on Friday afternoon the Center for Medical Progress has First Amendment rights to release videos it covertly took of StemExpress executives talking about buying aborted baby tissue from Planed Parenthood. Almost immediately afterwards, CMP released a new video that among other thing showed the StemExpress CEO Joking about receiving entire dead babies from Planned Parenthood (over lunch).
See the full video here (WARNING: Disturbing Content):
The short video includes an interesting appearance; Cate Dyer, the CEO of StemExpress, LLC.
Dyer is seen laughing about how StemExpress purchases fully intact aborted babies from Planned Parenthood. As she paid the check, Dyer is laughing about how shippers of the aborted babies should give a warning to lab workers to expect such a whole (intact) baby.
“Oh yeah, if you have intact cases — which we’ve done a lot — we sometimesship those back to our lab in its entirety,” she says.
“Tell the lab its coming,” she laughs about the intact unborn babies. “They don’t want to open the box and go ‘Oh my God!’” Dyer adds.
Cate Dyer, interestingly enough, is the younger sister of Charlotte Ivancic, John Boehner’s health policy director.
Republican House Speaker John Boehner’s top health-care policy adviser is linked — by blood — to a figure at the heart of the Planned Parenthood baby part-selling scandal.
Catherine Short, the attorney for the Center for Medical Progress, spoke with LifeNews today:
Catherine Short, Vice President of Legal Affairs for the Life Legal Defense Foundation and attorney for Daleiden and CMP commented on the court decision stating, “The legal impact of today’s ruling is huge, not only for the sake of exposing the truth about the secretive and lucrative business of trafficking fetal organs, but it is also a remarkable victory for free speech advocates.”
She told LifeNews: “Additional videos by Daleiden and the CMP should provide more evidence against Planned Parenthood and Stem Express. Judge O’Donnell’s message will hopefully ring loud and clear that we as Americans have the right to engage in undercover journalism and expose the criminal actions of those who brazenly violate the law.”
The attempt to silence them alone was a victory in itself, because it just served as proof that Planned Parenthood and Stem Express clearly have something to hide.
Attorneys with the pro-life Alliance Defending Freedom legal group told LifeNews that this is a victory for David Daleiden and CMP.
“People who don’t have anything to hide don’t go to court to stop journalists from reporting the truth. The court was right to deny StemExpress’ request to gain access to damaging material against them obtained through solid investigative journalism. Americans have the right to know the truth about Planned Parenthood’s sale of baby body parts and the ‘fiscal rewards’ Stem Express says that it provides to abortion clinics,” said Freedom of Conscience Defense Fund President Chuck LiMandri.
Yes, we do have a right to know what happens with our tax money. I’m sure this war isn’t over yet, Planned Parenthood will more than likely continue searching for ways to silence the Center for Medical Progress, but today was a victory that should be celebrated.
UPDATE:
After writing this post, additional information was brought to my attention. The Center for Medical Progress also released additional transcripts from the exchange with Cate Dyer. The transcript includes 6 samples of the video they say will be published “shortly.”
4) Cate Dyer laughs and jokes about researchers being squeamish about receiving baby parts in the mail:SE: As you probably know, one of the issues with neural tissue, it’s so fragile. It’s insanely fragile. And I don’t even know—I was gonna say, I know we get requests for neural, it’s the hardest thing in the world to ship.
Buyer: You do it as the whole calvarium.
SE: Yeah, that’s the easiest way. And we’ve actually had good success with that.
Buyer: Make sure the eyes are closed!
SE: Yeah! [laughter] Tell the lab it’s coming!
Buyer: Yeah.
SE: They’ll open the box, go, ”Oh God!” [laughter] So yeah, so many of the academic labs cannot fly like that, they’re not capable.
Buyer: Why is that? I don’t understand that.
SE: It’s almost like they don’t want to know where it comes from. I can see that. Where they’re like, “We need limbs, but no hands and feet need to be attached.” And you’re like, ? Or they want long bones, and they want you to take it all off, like, make it so that we don’t know what it is.
Buyer: Bone the chicken for me and then we’ll—
SE: That’s it.
Buyer: And then I’ll eat it, but.
SE: But we know what it is. I mean, [laughter], but their lab.
Buyer: But then it goes to that whole stigma.
SE: Oh yeah. And their lab techs freak out, and have meltdowns, and so it’s just like, yeah. I think, quite frankly, that’s why a lot of researchers ultimately, some of them want to get into other things. They want to look at bone marrow, they want to look at adipose- sort of adult human, kind of adult based sampling. They want to avoid publishing a paper that says it was derived from fetal tissue.
See the remaining samples here.
