Ahh, 2016. You have arrived! There’s just something about the start of a new year that makes one plan changes in attitude, changes in latitude, setting new goals, and getting rid of the things that drag you down. Alfred Tennyson’s words to “Ring out the old, Ring in the New” were more prophetic than even he realized:

Ring out the old, ring in the new,
Ring, happy bells, across the snow;
The year is going, let him go;
Ring out the false, ring in the true.

Oh wait, you think I’m referring to the current Duffer in Chief in the lyrics above? Well, it certainly fits, but he’s not the subject this time. Instead, its that certain candidate with the initials HRC who has my attention this fine January 1, 2016 morning.

Behold, the State Department, desperately scrambling to comply with judges orders; missed it by that much. Instead of the regular Friday dump of 8,800, which includes two emails classified as SECRET and 275 of them having been retroactively classified, there are only 5,500 in the latest offering:

“We have worked diligently to come as close to the goal as possible, but with the large number of documents involved and the holiday schedule we have not met the goal this month. To narrow that gap, the State Department will make another production of former Secretary Clinton’s email sometime next week,” the department said in a statement Thursday.

Oh dear, those pesky vacations and that Christmas thing really get in the way don’t they? So, lets take a gander at some of the latest hits thus far…
