We know that the percentage of Americans who identify themselves as supporting legalized abortion has dropped to a record low. According to a Gallup poll earlier this year, only 41% say they are pro-choice which is down from 47% last year. And now, data from the CDC shows that the United States abortion rate has fallen to an all-time low. It’s dropped 5 percent between 2008 and 2009, the most recent years for which data is available, and the largest decline in the past decade.

Why?

Perhaps people are having less sex what with the depressing Obama economy and all. Maybe the women most likely to have abortions are finding their emotional fulfillment in Dear Leader, who is the most pro-abortion POTUS we’ve ever had.

Ok. Gross. Maybe not.

So then, one thought is that the bad Obama economy has caused people to be more careful about using contraception. Possibly. Another is that more women are using birth control devices that eliminate the user-error factor. That’s possible too.

And yet another reason for the decline in abortions – the one so easily overlooked – is that more women recognize abortion is wrong and refuse to seek it. They reject Planned Parenthood and their death merchant gimmicks. In fact, medical tools like this 4D Scan, seen in the video below, are giving women a view of pre-born children who hiccup, swallow, stretch, and yawn in the womb, helping them come to the “choose and defend life” conclusion.

At least, I really hope so.
