Hey everyone! I just wanted to ask you all to please do me a quick favor and participate in a survey for me. It’s a ten question demographic survey. It’s anonymous, you don’t have to register for anything. Just leave your responses so I can have an idea of the demographics of the visitors to my site. The survey is here.
Thanks!
UPDATE: I’ve had a couple of people mention that the survey assumed that all of my readers are American. This was a huge D’OH! moment for me, because I know I have readers in foreign countries. I honestly just did not think about it when I put the survey together, and for that I sincerely apologize. Believe me, I value you guys just as much as my American readers! Unfortunately, I can’t change the questions once the survey is live, but I will keep this in mind for the future and it won’t happen again. Thanks for your patience, everyone!
I am Woody Carlsons father in law, he worked for the Barracudas which I believe you did. My daughter Chasey suggested you as a facebook friend because I am a big conservative.
I think your blog is great, I am also a member of the NRA, Daytona Beach Republican Club and an avid gun owner. I belong to the Flagler Gun and Archery Club and my wife and I loved to shoot 9mm(Glock, KelTecs) and .223(Ar-15)
Navy REPRESENTING!! :p
Like Bert, I am a gunny. I am a libertarian. Found you through Malkin’s blog.
I took your survey but it wouldn’t let me leave #4 blank, nor was there a “decline to state” option. Anonymous or not, I routinely do not answer that question.
I answered republican because I vote that way but I am more Libertarian than Rebuplican.
Call Me a Heinlein Libertarian with a Roman Catholic flavoring.
If you havn’t read Robert A Heinlein you are not educated.
Your poll assumes all readers are in the US. I am in Alberta Canada and am a daily reader which may skew the poll results somewhat. Anyway keep up the great work and take care of that Marine of yours
lol
so far–we are mostly Acorn members, who work for hacks, have 6th grade educations, 3rd party socialists, 20 somethings, who voted for Nader.
or…..maybe NOT
Mark me down as another Canadian who couldn’t compete the survey. I’m not registered as a member of any party, even in Canada.
I also didn’t want to say “did not vote” for question 10, since I’ve voted in every Canadian election since I became of legal age to do so. Although I once spoiled a ballot, by writing “None of these candidates deserve my vote, or anyone else’s” across it.
So, unless “none of the above” options are added, or at least some of the questions are made non-mandatory, I’ll remain a phantasm…

While I totally understand that the questions asked in the survey is entirely your prerogative, I suggest that a provision be made for questions 9 and 10 for resident-aliens of this country because you have people such as those reading your site. I am one of those and I know several who lean conservative and will support the conservative causes in elections once they become citizens.
Thank you.
Good job listing the USMC at the top of #7!
From the results, I am a “typical” reader of your blog in all respects.
Need to have a Palin option in the “who did you vote for” question.
My state (Virginia) does not require party designation on its voter registration. I’m sure it isn’t the only state that does not require this. While it does present an opportunity for some creative mischief during primaries (Who…me? I’d never vote in a Democrat primary! heh, heh, heh) it also offers me to opt out of a lot of junk mail.
And while I never served, my Dad was active duty Navy for 30 years. I grew up around the Navy, and work for them as acivilian.
So for the next survey, maybe include a “no party affiliation” button and an extra question to see how many readers are military brats.
Also, I’d suggest making the ages not overlap next time — I’m 25 and there are two possibilities — 18-25 and 25-34, which makes the results of that question fairly meaningless.
I see some joker put down Green Party. I have an idea who that was…
