CNN’s Don Lemon devastated to find that Obama’s Africa visit wasn’t greeted with “unprecedented” ecstasy

President Obama gave a speech in Ghana this weekend. CNN anchor Don Lemon was speaking live to African journalist Nkepile Mabuse about Obama’s visit, and he got a shocking reply to his question. Lemon assumed that the warm welcome given to Obama when he arrived, complete with dancing and drumming, was unique and rare. He used the word “unprecedented”. Clearly, he’s of the impression that Africans love Obama as much as the ass-kissing journalists in the mainstream media do.

Nkepile Mabuse set him straight quickly though, leaving Lemon stunned and looking like he had just eaten a sour lemon. They even had to take him off screen after he was reminded that liberals’ least favorite president, Bush, was welcome just as warmly as Obama was.

Here’s the relevant transcript:

Lemon: [W]hen President Obama was arriving, and they were doing, uh, the dancing, and all of the people who were running up to him… for a western leader, I know when presidents come over there, um, they are usually warmly received. But for a western leader, have you ever seen anything like this? Is this unprecedented?

Mabuse: It’s not unprecedented. Uh, when President Bush was here, you will remember, in February, uh, there were people who were drumming, there were dances, and, uh, President Bush, uh, joined some of them. So, it’s not unprecedented, this is a, a truly African welcome that is given to anybody, whether they’re from Africa or anywhere else in the world, Don.

Lemon: So, they welcome everyone, it doesn’t matter, this is how the people do it, right?

Mabuse: Indeed, Don.

Too bad that people in Ghana are apparently not yet enraptured by the Obamamessiah to the point that they’ll deify him along with the American mainstream media. Lemon looked so shocked and disappointed at her response, that he even jerked in his chair when she had the audacity to say that Obama was no better to them than President Bush. And afterwards, his entire tone changed, to one of noticeable sarcasm and annoyance.

Unbiased, objective reporting? Yeah, right.

I was under the impression that Bush was relatively well liked in Africa, so I don’t see why this CNN clown is so annoyed…

Even the folks who didn’t like Bush much admit he devoted a whole lot
of money on AIDS medicine for Africa – without much fanfare either.
    I think they appreciated that.

Really, you must be drinking the koolaid. How about YOU wake up and realize that you’re a blind, bigoted, close-minded fool. Both major parties play the same B.S. tricks, are liars, cheats, and will not hesitate to throw you off a bridge if it furthers their own agenda.
