Armed Robber Shot by Clerk – Robber’s Family Furious

An armed robber brandished and pointed a gun at several people, demanding cash. An armed clerk shot and killed him. Normally, this kind of story would get a paragraph or two on a back page of the local news section of a newspaper. These aren’t normal times.

Robber’s Family Angry at Clerk

At one time, family members of violent criminals would either remain silent or issue apologies for the harm their criminal family member had inflicted. That assumes, though, that the family possesses good principles. Behold:

Pay attention to the sister at the 1:05 mark on the video:

“It was wrong for that clerk to shot my brother in the chest. Yeh, he was robbin’ y’all, OH WELL.”

This female creature isn’t focused on how her dead brother put other people’s lives at risk. Oh, no, she is livid that her brother’s victims didn’t just prostrate and comply with his demands. And it’s not like this robbery was his first rodeo.

Rappley was known to police, said Lt. Jason Hall.

“The deceased did have a pending weapons charge that was waiting to move forward,” he said. “Right now we are looking into the possibility of this individual may have been involved in several other commercial robberies.”

Sgt. Schloss said that Dollar General stores have been hit hard these last few months, but he wasn’t aware of an uptick in crime.

Police said that the Gettysburg store has been robbed four times this year.

Tribal Values v Bourgeois values

The response on social media, whether in the Twitter thread above or on Facebook appears overwhelming shocked at sister’s response. Some support the clerk’s actions of defense of himself and others. Some question the lack of “proper upbringing” of the siblings. They are all close, but aren’t going deep enough on what is happening here. And that is the contemporary American cultural shift away from what may be called bourgeois values to factional, tribal ones.

Sister was clear. Her brother, regardless of his behavior, was not to be held to any standard outside of what her tribe holds. The rules that exist for all others within the larger society don’t exist for them. He was committing armed robbery? OH WELL.

The Left has spent the better part of the last 50-100 years chipping away at the melting pot logos of American culture. We don’t just witness it in fits such as these wherein people are not to be treated or judged individually by objective standards of behavior. We actually witness the attempts to destroy any person who dares to promote what used to be normative values. Professor Amy Wax wrote:

That [bourgeois] culture laid out the script we all were supposed to follow: Get married before you have children and strive to stay married for their sake. Get the education you need for gainful employment, work hard, and avoid idleness. Go the extra mile for your employer or client. Be a patriot, ready to serve the country. Be neighborly, civic-minded, and charitable. Avoid coarse language in public. Be respectful of authority. Eschew substance abuse and crime.

These basic cultural precepts reigned from the late 1940s to the mid-1960s. They could be followed by people of all backgrounds and abilities, especially when backed up by almost universal endorsement. Adherence was a major contributor to the productivity, educational gains, and social coherence of that period.

You would have thought the sky had fallen from the sheer hysteria over Wax’s rather ordinary observations. To this day, the irrational social justice nincompoops are still harassing her.

This is where we stand and where we must take a stand to hold all members of our culture to shared standards.

And you know a dirty little secret? Most of those upperclass Leftwingers, from Silicon Valley to academia, raise their own families with bourgeois values while preaching the tribal values of rage and victimhood to such sorry messes like the Rappley family.

I bet I just saw your shocked face, amirite?

Sadly, no. In one way her tribe has traditional gender roles – the woman stays home while the man goes out and raids the neighbors. So she will likely not face the wrath of said neighbors directly.

Actually, that has more to do with the Left’s deeply seated racism and white supremacy. Rich Leftist have pretty much always viewed American Blacks as dangerous exotic animal that should be kept separate in special habitats.

  • Notice that this kind of stuff mostly happens in areas run strictly by the Democratic Party.

And yet these people wonder why it is that they never get anywhere ,accomplish anything of note, and live their lives in squalor all while voting again and again and again for those same folks who put and keep them there. Hmmmm. It’s a quandary I tell you.

Interesting how the network cut off the sister saying how she would take matters into her own hands. I wonder how she finished that thought…
