Another school indoctrinating our children for Obama

Another school indoctrinating our children for Obama

We keep getting these stories of teachers indoctrinating their students with hero-worship of Barack Obama. Longfellow Elementary in Howard County, MD is the latest school to take part. Brian Griffiths brings us an e-mail containing the lyrics to a song first graders were required to learn for class. Read it and be scared:

Obama,
President Obama,
President Obama,
President Obama,
President Obama–He says
Yes we can!
President Obama–We say
Yes we can!
President Obama–I say
Yes I can!
President Obama–He says
Yes we can!
Barack Obama–Oh yes he rates,
The first Black President in the United States!
He’s smart and he’s–so so good!
He’ll lead this country as he should!
He wants us all to work together,
To make this country even better!
Prez’ Obama says–“Yes We Can!”
Make the US better–hand in hand!
Obama,
President Obama,
President Obama,
President Obama
President!

I’m just curious — are these teachers completely ignorant that these are the same tactics that “leaders” like Hitler, Stalin, Ho Chi Minh, and Kim Jong Il used? My guess would be that they aren’t ignorant. I’m sure that their liberal conscience allows them to think that it’s somehow different with Obama. What’s worrying is the problem that so many commenters have already brought up: for every school that is indoctrinating their children that we find out about, how many schools are doing it without anyone knowing?

Scary thought.

  • Cassy I’m not sure how different your high school was from mine. Bush Sr was president and the kids in my school were ranting about how much he was destroying freedoms and “hating on the black” This was the end of the 80’s. But this was in the groups in my school. I was a member of SADD and this is what they “discussed” When I asked which freedoms or how the president had personally shown hatred I was voted out of SADD. I laughed. I honestly though it was funny. Lies and hate all in the name of peace and freedom.

I am sure it’s a lot worse today.

  • Cylar says:

Heh. SADD. I remember hearing about them back in the day. I realized from one of your other posts that you and I grew up around the same time.

Students Against Driving Drunk, wasn’t it? How exactly did criticism of Bush the Elder relate to the groups mission of keeping drunk students away from the wheel?

  • Cylar says:

I am sure the moonbats will be along any minute now to insist that the parents had no objection at all, to this little display of deification of a mere man. As if that negated the fact that the rest of us can read, even if a bunch of MD parents can’t.

  • Joe says:

I just moved away from Howard County. A story: My aunt worked for Congressman Rob Portman in Ohio and had the opportunity to meet Bob Erhlich when he was in congress. She related how she had a nephew in Columbia, MD (Howard Co) and his response was, “My G_d, they’re all communists down there!”

Nice to get away from all that.

  • Mat says:

    Cylar,

Or worse, someone like ModDem will try to pull an equivalence statement with some “examples” of how we conservatives do this as well (he actually tried this in the previous indoctrination post that Cassy had). Like I said before, I have a really bad feeling that this nonsense is more widespread than originally assumed.

  • Kupocygirl says:

Great using mind control to idolize Obama; u know have u guys thought that Obama says Thank You Satan when he says Yes We Can.
