Perez Hilton gives us a shining example of just how liberals like to debate. See, when presented with an opinion they do not like, liberals don’t respond with a logical rebuttal using facts. Oftentimes this is because they have no facts to respond with. So, they just do what they do best: and that’s attack their opponent. In this case, it was Perez Hilton, gay celebrity gossip blogger extraordinaire, attacking Miss California and Miss USA hopeful Carrie Prejean.

Perez Hilton was selected as one of the judges for the pageant, and he asked Prejean if she thought other states should follow Vermont’s lead in legalizing same-sex marriage. She said she was against same-sex marriage, but supported the right of Americans to choose for themselves.

Some people cheered. Perez claimed that some people booed, although I didn’t hear any booing.. Check it out:

Carrie Prejean ended up being the first runner-up in the Miss USA pageant. Perez Hilton responded by calling her a “dumb bitch”:

This is exactly the way liberals argue. They don’t respond to an actual point; they just call you names and try to tear you down. It’s interesting that someone like Perez Hilton even has the nerve to call anyone a dumb bitch or say that they only have half a brain. How much intelligence does it require to gossip about celebrities and draw semen dripping from their mouths on their pictures (a favorite thing of his to do to female celebs’ photos)? Perez Hilton is not exactly the sharpest tool in the shed. He blasted her for apparently not explicitly saying she supported states rights, but isn’t that exactly what she did? She said she was in favor of Americans being able to choose for themselves, a.k.a, VOTE, but that she was personally against it. That was an incredibly ballsy move by Miss California, Carrie Prejean, especially coming from a state as crazy as California. What was she supposed to do… lie? Make up an answer that she knew a flaming homosexual like Perez Hilton would want to hear? No, instead, she spoke the truth to a man she knew would not want to hear it.

She deserves a lot of respect for her bravery. But how did she get rewarded by the pageant? Well, they spat in her face:

Keith Lewis, who runs the Miss California competition, tells FOXNews.com that he was “saddened” by Prejean’s statement.

“As co-director of the Miss California USA, I am personally saddened and hurt that Miss California believes marriage rights belong only to a man and a woman,” said Lewis in a statement. “I believe all religions should be able to ordain what unions they see fit. I do not believe our government should be able to discriminate against anyone and religious beliefs have no politics in the Miss California family.”

So in order for anyone to be a part of the Miss California “family”, they must all think and feel the exact same way? Hold the same political positions?

This, again, is a shining example of liberalism. They claim to love tolerance and inclusivity, but they don’t. People must all think the same way in order to be accepted by liberals. Otherwise, they’re labeled as… intolerant.

The ratings for these pageant shows have been going steadily down for years now. Perhaps pageant organizers can look at an incident like this and discover why.

Carrie Prejean deserves an apology from both Perez Hilton (not that she’ll get it, he’s too busy crowing over his “victory”) and from the Miss USA pageant. She was brave and principled enough to answer a difficult question truthfully and in front of a judge and a crowd that she knew probably wouldn’t appreciate her answer. She could’ve sold herself out to give herself a better shot at winning the crown, but she didn’t. And here she is, being criticized for it.

Shame on them all.
