I’ll start with a story …

I come from a long line of curmudgeons. Never appreciated it growing up as the idea of spending weeks on end trudging in the wilderness to hunt, trap or drag out trees certainly never said “oooo fun!” to me.

Some skinflinty great-grand found this plot of land surrounded by miles of wilderness and glomed on, passing it down with threats of dire consequences to any ne’er-do-well who would dare to sell it.

Watching my kids thrive when the wife and I know what is happening back in the ‘real world’? I thank God for letting me embrace my inner curmudgeon.
