Terror reared its ugly head in Barcelona today, and it happened right in the middle of our own national angst.
At this time there are thirteen dead. Thirteen souls lost under the wheels of terrorists’ vans.

Yet here in America, the Land of the Eternally Outraged, we’re arguing over old Confederate statues.
That will change, however. Soon we’ll be putting up Facebook profile pictures of candles with the hashtag #Barcelona. We’ll tweet stuff like #PrayersForBarcelona and #BarcelonaStrong. With our addiction to social media, the national attention span is like that of the dog from “UP.” Squirrel!
