NFL Owners Don’t Want Kaepernick For The Same Reason They Don’t Want Tebow [VIDEO]

NFL Owners Don’t Want Kaepernick For The Same Reason They Don’t Want Tebow [VIDEO]

The Smithsonian is going to “honor” unemployed football player Colin Kaepernick with an exhibit in the National Museum of African American History. Naturally, there were several obvious questions.

And even with some of the NYPD rallying around Kaepernick, he still doesn’t have a job.

Now, let’s remember a couple of things as we talk about Kaepernick’s current unemployed status within the NFL:
1) He opted out of his contract with the San Francisco 49ers in order to become a free agent. Meaning that he walked away from the job he did have because he was convinced that he was worth more. That hasn’t worked out as well as he thought.
2) He has had interviews/tryouts with other teams. But reportedly, he is not interested in being a backup quarterback for less money. There are only 32 teams in the NFL. When the job pool is that small, you have to be an absolute standout to command a starter position as QB. Given Kaepernick’s disastrous last couple of seasons, he can’t bill himself as a starter.
