Social Justice Newsletter Says Veterans Should Be Banned From Four-Year Universities

The social justice warriors in their heroic black capes took a break from smoking their weed in mom’s basement and descended upon University of Colorado Colorado Springs (UCCS) this past week. In a newsletter entitled The Social Justice Collective Weekly, an essay appeared on a common bulletin board suggesting military veterans be banned from attending four-year universities.

The newsletter, written by an individual known as Terry Steinawitz went something like this:

First off, many veterans openly mock the ideas of diversity and safe spaces for vulnerable members of society. This is directly in contradiction to the mission of UCCS. Many veterans utter the mantra that they, “do not see color”. But the problem lies in their socialization into the military culture that is that of a white supremacist organization. They have been permanently tainted, and are no long fit for a four-year university.

The illogical rambling continues:

Second, many students are frightened by the presence of veterans in their classrooms. Veterans usually have an overwhelming presence in the classroom, which can distract other students. This is usually true for vulnerable individual such as LGBTQQI2SAA, who have been known to be the butt of insensitive jokes made by veterans.

LGBTQQI2….what?! I mean seriously, they lost us at the second Q! No, I am not ignorant, I am not a veteran and yes I AM going to make fun of this abbreviation because truly, if a group wants to be taken seriously, how could they expect people to do so when they keep changing which gender identities and classifications they want to clump into one special interest group? Is it LGBTQI2ASAQ or IQLGBTQWRZYZ and a half? Did they include people who want to identify as potatoes only on Tuesdays? If not, let’s add a ‘P” to this and then if someone does not acknowledge that a normally “LGBTAAI2 whatever is a “P” for “potato” on Tuesday, they can sue the school! Okay. I had a “squirrel” moment. We move on to point #3:

Finally, veterans usually are associated with extremists right-wing groups such as the tea party and the NRA. In order to provide a safe place for all students, extremist right-wing groups must be suppressed on campus. This would include their followers: veterans.

The essay claims that veterans should not completely be denied an education after serving in the military but “in order to protect our academic institutions”, veterans should be allowed to “attend trade schools” or “possibly community college”.

Could this be a hoax? Possibly. At this rate, we put nothing past the looney tunes these days. Go send the potential doctor, the lawyer, the structural engineer, the pilot out to community college and trade school after they come home fighting for your country and right to call yourselves “LGBTQQI2whatever“. Because YOU are SO much more intelligent than any one who can camp out in the middle of a desert, eat MREs and get shot at for weeks on end. YOU are better than those peons. The truth is, most of these degree concentrations and professions require a bit of smarts and I really wonder how many “bigoted veterans” these Liberal Arts majors have come into contact with in their travels on campus.

Army? Navy? Air Force? Marines? The campus Nazis have spoken and they say “no university for you”! Unless, of course, you’re this guy-errr-gal:

Then, you get a full ride and quite possibly an honorary PhD.

The irony is, of course, that this snowflake has demonstrated that he has no business attending an institution of higher learning since he so obviously fails to understand the point of a college education.

    • Ralph says:

Wait! You said, “He”. Could it be a SHE. Could HE identify as a SHE? could SHE identify as a HE? Was Terry once a Terri?

Inquiring minds want to know. 🙂

“It” works better and doesn’t include as many letters and you have a 50/50 chance of getting them in the correct order.

Wow. So now, everyone in the military or who is a veteran is part of an “extreme right-wing group”? And who is biased, again?

I’ve been called a b!tch before so…sticks and stones there. But-nobody should ever have to hear “sig heil” EVER again. NOBODY. You guys keep bringing it up whenever you all don’t agree with something. Just stop.

Glad my husband could have served in the Marines, had the “opportunity” to go to college (although he had to have a degree to be a career pilot in the Corps) and now is trusted with a multi-million dollar piece of machinery to fly all people of ALL walks of life–including protestors to their next resistance rally.

      Stay Classy.

Just remember, when liberals resort to name calling, it’s because they lack a logical argument, and you win. 🙂

Maybe you know this commenter, but it sure looked to me like they were directing that comment at the author of the “newsletter”. That quote is from the newsletter (you have it in the 3rd blockquote).

I so wish I was back in college today. These snowflakes would cower in fear as I walked among them.

    • Lisa Carr says:

Be careful, Jack. You may be seen as part of an “extreme right-wing” group.

    • Ralph says:

I was so busy being a soldier, and then a cop, that I didn’t have time to complete my associates degree, so now I’m taking two classes to get it. Trust me, it’s fun, especially when 18 and 19 year olds are trying to match wits with you.

Too bad it will only last until December.:-)

  • Lisa Carr says:

P.S. There IS hope. Some of our high-school students are seeing past this nonsense.

  • Scott says:

    Lisa,
I was going to commend you on a great post, but then you went and put up that picture, without even the slightest warning. Now i can’t eat my breakfast without wanting to hurl… that was just mean!

  • Rick Caird says:

We are forced to admit that these people have an inherent inability to look at themselves. On the one hand, they want us to admire their “inclusivity”, but on the other want to exclude veterans of every type and color. We might consider this a hoax, but it is too much like their standard fare to be able to take it for anything but typical SJW nonsense..

Prey is usually scared of predators but such is life.

“who have been known to be the butt of insensitive jokes made by veterans.”

Good thing body cameras weren’t widely available when I was in. They’d really have a case of the vapors.

  • Tom Billings says:

To the class bigots of SJW thought, the prevention of class traitors is a deeply felt need. Since they define their class by academic certification, then it becomes obvious that potential traitors to the ever-so refined graduates of “studies” majors multicultural viewpoints must not be allowed to be certified as part of the New Class. Many veterans have already shown themselves willing and able to betray the New Class control of society by defending the freedoms of the unwashed to do without New Class direction. They cannot be trusted to help keep the employment of New Class enthusiasts growing in government. Cutting the gordian knot by banning them from the sacred halls of certification is therefore a must!

Four years ago it was LGB

Two years ago it became LGBTQQI2SAA.

At this rate, in ten years the acronym will have 1056 letters.

Ten years after that it will have about 8,600,000.

When today’s baby’s are middle-aged, the acronym they will use to show respect for the many genders will have about 350,000,000,000 letters. When some genderist points out that this might soon become unwieldy – since that’s enough letters to fill 1.8 million novels, he (ze? It? Bzeh?) ) will be shot.
Shortening the Acronym will never be an option because that would require leaving some sexual identities unmentioned. Oh the horror!

There will not be enough ink in the universe to print a book about LGBTQ….s because the author will necessarily be using the term several times on every “page”.

  • Steve says:

For those readers of VictoryGirlsBlog who aren’t familiar with Colorado Springs, it is the most military city in the State, with approximately 20,000 soldiers at Ft Carson on the South side of town, about 4,000 Air Force Cadets at the Air Force Academy on the North Side of town, and another 15-20,000 Air Force at Peterson AFB, home of Northern Command, NORAD and US Air Force Space Command to the East. UCCS would probably fold if it weren’t for veteran or current military students. And yes, when compared to a Iraq or Afghanistan veteran (male or female), the SJW who still lives in his parents basement is clearly a p****. Doesn’t mean the veterans are trying to intimidate him, just that he recognizes his own inferiority in life skills, courage, and experience. As for being Right Wing, yeah, after a tour in combat you see pretty clearly who is on your side and who isn’t. And you are pretty comfortable around firearms.

  • Dr. Dave says:

I was an engineering professor (admittedly a far cry from teaching Snowflake 101) and usually had a couple returning vets in my classes. A vet or two (or more) helped set a higher maturity level and really helped me enforce a higher academic level.

  • GWB says:

This is directly in contradiction to the mission of UCCS.

Well, if the mission of UCCS is “diversity and safe spaces” then maybe they should be required to take “university” out of their name. That word – at least historically – is normally used for a place with the mission of “educating” and “teaching critical thinking”. And, it’s usually a place for adults, not children who still need their woobie at night.

    extremists … tea party

Hoo boy, are you in for a surprise when the real liberty extremists show up, if you thought the pick-up-other-people’s-trash TEA party was “extreme”.
