Seventeen Year-Old Thinks Disney Should #GiveElsaAGirlfriend

We interrupt this report on last night’s polls in Indiana to give you a dose of lunacy from the left.

If you’re like me, a mom of a boy who is all boy beyond a shadow of a doubt, you, too go running and hiding in a corner when girls go squeaking and squealing over two now very well-known Disney princesses singing about building a snowman. I play “Let it Go” as a form of torture to my son when I want him to stop whining like a college student or do his chores and yes, I played the Elsa drinking game on Halloween every time I saw a cute little “Queen Elsa” at my door who wanted candy (took a sip of my favorite Avatar Jasmine IPA after I dropped some candy in her Olaf bucket). Guilty.

But when I saw this, I just shook my head. Leave it to the millennials to come up with another ingenious hashtag…because that’s their life. Snapchat. Twitter. Selfies. Self-importance. Hashtags. And now, politically-correct sequels to popular kids’ flicks. Like a Frozen sequel where Elsa has a girlfriend.

Her name is Alexis Isabel and she is a 17 year-old writer for MTV (shocker) and feministculture.com and she has created the hashtag #GiveElsaAGirlfriend. She wants to change the world. Her reasoning?

Many in the LGBT community view this movie as a metaphor for the experience of coming out and accepting who you are. Yet Elsa, the film’s protagonist, will probably end up with a male prince or king in the upcoming Frozen sequel. These thoughts soon drenched my mind and pushed me to tweet about how “iconic” it would be if Frozen’s Elsa were cast alongside a princess instead. –Alexis Isabel

Alexis claims in her write-up that she is a young lesbian woman. Since her creation of #GiveElsaAGirlfriend, others have sounded off as a strong arm to Disney to depict Elsa as a lesbian in a Frozen sequel because “love is an open door”, “young girls need to be educated on LGBTQ relationships”, and, like, it would just be amazeballs…errrrr….I mean amaaaaaaaazing.

This is getting more ridiculous by the moment. As much as I do not understand the hype amongst little girls with Frozen, I certainly believe that little girls are just that…little girls who want to dress up with long white-blonde wigs and glittery blue dresses whilst they sing at the top of their lungs and they don’t need/want any other messages within their movies. They don’t care. And to the parents who are concerned that their little girl may be a lesbian? Well, if she is, I doubt she would want said long blonde wig and a glittery blue dress. Why can’t a movie be just that? And why does it need to have some wacko agenda attached to it?

This wasn’t the first time Frozen was analyzed for “hidden messages” like racism, climate change, “slut power” (no I’m not kidding) and coming out. But why should we stop there? Frozen Part Deux can depict Elsa as a lesbian while in Frozen 3, she can up and decide one day that she is not a lesbian anymore but pangender and sing about building a snow-trans? Or perhaps the plot can be twisted even further by outing the famous Queen Elsa being born as “Eric” to come out to the masses in a glittery blue dress after being in hiding from his presumed gender-reassignment? Yep. Fairy Tales do come true, after all. And when these sequels are box-office flops, we can (to make yet another warped statement to our kiddos), give ALL actors/directors/producers the Academy Award. Because everybody gets the trophy.

Quite simply because you must be made to care.
These people are totally *self-centered*, and you must be centered on their self, too, or they will make your life hell. This is the evil of the post-modern age.

And if you don’t agree with them – and support them – then you are a racist, sexist, etc (you fill in your favorite) and are to be belittled at the minimum.

The strategy is “ram it down our throats until we just accept it”. Not gonna happen. At least with me…but I think I speak for a good majority who follow us. 😉

It is awesome. It will teach little girls that lesbianism is OK and that they should try it
